Blessings on this Labour Day long weekend. Two prayers:
For Commerce and Industry: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, in your earthly life you shared our toil and hallowed our labour: guide those who maintain the commerce and industries of this land, and give to all who labour pride in their work, a just reward, and joy both in supplying need and serving you: who with the Father and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, world without end. Amen
For the Unemployed: Heavenly Father, we remember before you those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work. Guide the people of this land, so to use our public and private wealth that all may find suitable and fulfilling employment, and receive a just reward for their labour: through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Happy Onam to our Malayalam congregation! Onam is a South Indian harvest celebration. Today was full of joy and colour, delicious food and traditional dance. Thank you to Bishop Chad and his family for their presence, and to the Rev Sunil and Sabitha, for their ministry and faithfulness among us. ❤️✝️🙏

It's September 1st! 📆That means that our 6th Annual Neighbourhood Treasure Hunt is only a month away!! 🔦🔍Mark your calendars for Friday, October 2nd for a fun and fast paced evening of neighbourhood sleuthing. Bring a flashlight, bring a friend, bring $10 each to participate. All proceeds go to support the Camp Okema Sleepy Hollow Memorial Fund, in loving memory of parishioner and friend, the one and only Quinlyn Smith. ✝️❤️
