Worship Services - Sundays at 2:00 PM

Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

We are praying for God's immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine in these aspects of our church life:

Blessing Our Community: We are praying for new ways to bless/serve the neighborhood around the church building and in the neighborhoods where we live.

F.L.O Youth Ministry: God is already doing immeasurably more than imagined in the lives of our five youth leaders and the youth that have attend our youth events. We are looking for God's immeasurably more in the coming months through discipleship and mission in this ministry that is "for youth by youth." You can follow our youth ministry on Instagram at f.l.o_youth.

3042 Louise Street: We are seeking God's immeasurably more as we look for ways to use the church building to serve others. We currently rent the building to several organizations and look forward to using the building to serve the neighborhood and beyond.

Hello all,

It's be a while since I've posted an update about LSCC so here it is:

SUMMER SERVICES:
We are having our summer services on THURSDAYS at 7 PM. We are journeying through a book called NAMED: The Patriarchs. This past Thursday we learned about Noah. Here is our summer schedule:

THURSDAY, JULY 20 - Abram
THURSDAY, JULY 27 - Jacob
THURSDAY, AUGUST 3 - no service
THURSDAY, AUGUST 10 - Joseph
THURSDAY, AUGUST 17 - Moses
THURSDAY, AUGUST 24 - Joshua
THURSDAY, AUGUST 31 - Wrap-Up

We will take a look at the lives of these people, the times in which they lived, insight into into how they fit into God's story, and discussion questions to help us see how God's story, life, love and salvation work in us.

Here is an excerpt from my Pastor's Report for 2022-23:

Youth Ministry
The highlight ministry for us this year is youth. Thank you for your support and prayers for me as I have ministered to our youth through discipleship and activities over this past year. I am grateful for our five core youth and their desire to learn more about God and their commitment to share their faith with their friends. In March, we hosted a 16th birthday party for one of our youth - 26 of her friends and 11 adults attended. It was exciting! A couple of weeks after the party, two youth asked to meet with me to share their vision for youth ministry. It included planning events for their friends, and developing a core of youth leaders who would lead connection/discipleship groups. From this meeting we planned and prepared two youth events: B.L.A.S.T. Momentum event on April 22nd with 23 youth and 4 adults attended and June 17th P.J. Event where 49 youth and 4 adults attended.

Our prayer emphasis since January is based on Isaiah 43:19
Isaiah 43:19 (NLT) – God says: For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

1. Eyes, minds and spirits - to see God’s new thing for LSCC that has already begun
2. Mission/ministry - that can serve the community so the building will be useful and we will be part of the community
3. Millennials – people under 40 to connect with their generation and their children
4. Musicians – musicians to lead praise and worship in our services and for youth events.

Our District Superintendent asked us to dream Jesus size dreams. Here are the Jesus Size Dreams for LSCC:

Church Building – for mission and ministry out of the building that will serve the community where the church is located and beyond. We are taking the Trinity Centres Foundation course to help us chart our course and have some idea of the shape of this mission/ministry over this next year.

Youth Ministry – our core youth leaders have a vision and a plan to reach their friends with God’s love and to engage them care and connection groups. We are praying for people under the age of 40 to join us in this ministry and mission. We want to continue to host events and start the connection/discipleship groups in September/October 2023.

Giving Birth at 93 – LSCC was organized 93 years ago. Like Abraham and Sarah, we are looking to God to birth something new in us and through us and for us before “this time next year” (Genesis 18:14)…

Grace and peace to you!
Hard to believe it is already September. We at Louise Street Community Church of the Nazarene have had a good summer learning about God's grace as we read, listened and reflected on Dr. David Busic's book, "Way, Truth, Life."

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, September 4th, our service time will be at 2:00 pm.

May we all know God's life-giving presence in our lives as we love and serve Him.

Hello all,

It's been a while since my last post. Thanks to those of you who check in on this page. I want to share with you our summer service schedule so if you are in Saskatoon or plan to be in Saskatoon, you can join us for worship.

Sunday, July 3rd - no service
Sunday, July 10th thru' Sunday, September 4th - our worship service will be at 11:00 am.
There will be no service on Sunday, July 31st.

We are grateful for your interest and support. Your prayers are appreciated as we continue to seek God's next thing for us. May your summer be refreshing in all ways in your life: physically, mentally and spiritually as you give God space to work in you and through you.

Hello all,

Thanks for your patience as we transition from Pastor Steve's ministry to God's next thing for Louise Street Community Church of the Nazarene. I am Pastor Debbie Tanasiecuk, the interim pastor. Pastor Arleen Plantilla is serving alongside me, sharing the work of pastoral ministry with me. We both are serving part-time. We are grateful to the Church Board for their faithful ministry with us. All of us are seeking God's next thing for Louise Street and I invite you to seek along with us. Our Sunday service is at 3 pm at the church. If you live in Saskatoon, you are welcome to join us. We're still working on our online presence.
