How would your life change if you knew God wants to journey through life with you?

The book of Exodus ends not just with freedom, but with a God who comes to live among His people. Join us as we end off our summer series this Sunday!

✨PARENTS & CARE-GIVERS:
We will not have any Lakeview Kids programming this Sunday as our Kids Wing floors are being waxed. The Atrium will be set up with some kids activities as a parent / adult supervised space.

When life falls apart, what do we ACTUALLY need?

This Sunday we’ll reflect on what it means to believe we have a God who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth, even when we feel like we’re facing the unimaginable.

Join us as we wrestle with what it looks like for us to trust that God is who He says He is.

This summer Lakeview Kids ran two different types of camps for kids to connect over the summer. They were awesome opportunities for kids to have fun, make friends, and experience God’s love. We loved watching them sing, dance, move, and play!

Thanks so much to all the volunteers who helped make these camps happen. We are so grateful for the memories we made this summer!

🥳 Two more smiling faces on our staff team! 🎉

We are so excited about the opportunity to develop young leaders in our church. We think the opportunity for young people to serve, lead, and contribute to the church is so integral to our vitality and growth. And it brings us so much life!

That’s why we are delighted to announce that we have hired Reanor Isimbi as our Youth Associate and Annie Weiman as our Student Ministries Admin.

YOUTH ASSOCIATE // REANOR ISIMBI
(pictured on the left)
Reanor has been a part of our Lakeview community for the last several years, most recently completing a summer internship in our Kids Ministry. We have loved getting to know her gifts and to see her strong work ethic.

Working alongside our Youth Pastor Mitch at 18 hours a week, Reanor will assist with program development and leadership and will specifically focus on shepherding our JrHigh students and leaders. She is very excited to help create more spaces for students in grades 6-8 to flourish in their faith.

Reanor will be doing this role while studying in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan.

STUDENT MINISTRIES ADMIN // ANNIE WEIMAN
(pictured on the right)
Over the last few years, Annie has been involved in different ways in the Kids, Youth, and Young Adults ministries. Which makes her a great person for this role!

Annie has a passion for helping volunteers, parents, and students feel cared for through good communication and organization and loves to be behind the scenes to lend a helping hand in making programs great. She will be working 12 hours a week, splitting her time amidst each student ministry area.

Annie will also be doing this role while studying in the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan.

We are so grateful for all that these two have contributed to our community already and are excited for what’s to come!

Where do we turn when things do not play out as we expect them to?

Join us as we explore the surprising response of God’s people as they feel abandoned by their leader, and sense the absence of God.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT // Over the last several years we have been creating rhythms of gathering for the young adults in our church. Last year we had a team of leaders spanning several decades come together and commit to wanting to spend time with our young people, helping them wrestle with God’s story as they find their place among God’s people.

Russell, Sue, and Kirk share about what being involved at Lakeview Young Adults has meant to them.

If you are interested in joining our young adults team, head to the link in our bio.

The world tells us to figure out what is normal, then adjust, settle, and survive. What if the greatest obstacle to the life God wants for you isn’t your past or your circumstances but your definition of “normal”?

Come discover how God’s relentless love is freeing us from lives of survival and self-protection so we can become people who love God deeply, love our neighbours boldly, and live with holy imagination.

Join us this Sunday morning at 10:30 AM as we celebrate communion together and continue to journey through Exodus.

Tomorrow we’ll find the Hebrews being tested by hunger in the wilderness. Are they bred for success? Or will they be toast?

Come and see where this story’s trail of crumbs leads…
