Mennonite Church Saskatchewan

Mennonite Church Saskatchewan Mennonite Church Saskatchewan is a Regional Church of Mennonite Church Canada, and part of the larger Mennonite Church within North America.

Mennonite Church Saskatchewan is a family of 22 churches who have chosen to be in covenant together. We believe we can do more together than we can alone, and that part of our call to be faithful disciples of Jesus is to be in communion with other believers. To worship together, to share our joys and concerns, and to challenge each other to grow as we discern what it means to be the Body of Christ.

Mennonite Church Saskatchewan is pleased to announce the position of Faith Development Minister.

This position will focus on cultivating relationships and supporting the faith and leadership development of youth and young adults across MC Sask. This role reimagines our approach to youth ministry — moving away from an event-based model toward a relationship-driven, collaborative ministry that meets young people where they are.

The Faith Development Minister will be a full-time position that will:
Build and nurture relationships with youth, young adults, congregations, and ministry partners;
Support faith development as young people transition from high school into adulthood;
Strengthen leadership development pathways that encourage young people to serve in their congregations, camps, schools, and wider church life;
Reimagine SMYO as a space for youth and young adult leadership formation; and,
Collaborate with existing ministries and programs within MC Sask churches that already engage young people in meaningful faith practices.

Through the Town Hall meetings that were held last winter, the value of youth ministry was heard many times. MC Sask is seeking to respond to that call and reinforce the importance of youth and young adults in our communities.

For full details about this position, please see the MC Sask website at http://mcsask.ca/FaithDevelopmentMinister. Applications and enquiries can be sent to [email protected]
