Friend cancels her death date after receiving care and support.

Visit I spoke to an amazing retired nurse, earlier this week. The woman (retired nurse) spoke about a friend who was approved for (MAiD) euthanasia but in the end had a true dignified natural death. The woman told me that when she learned that her friend was approved for euthanasia that she visited friend and explained that she opposed euthanasia because it is about killing, and she emphasized that other options exist....

My dear family, carissima famiglia. If we listened, that was a really yucky first reading . It was not nice at all. Anyone that says Christian faith is nice better think again. Guardian Angels Sifting the Good from the Bad

Sumalangit nawa, Pilar!
Last Advent, we said “Paalam” to a mother of our parish, Pilar Tondo. Our name is an omen of who we will be and Pilar was named for “Our Lady of the Pillar” - an ancient apparition of the Blessed Virgin who bi-located to visit the Apostle James (Sant’Iago) as he preached in Spain.
Since her arrival as a trail blazer of the Filipino Immigration in the early ‘70’s, Pilar was a “pillar” of St. Paul’s and the Filipino community. Msgr. Morand dragooned her into being the sacristan and for all the priests since she has been a “pilar of prayer”. She decided to go back to the Philippines—and it was this past week that Our Lord and His Blessed Mother took her to the Home of the Father.
Mahal namin kayo, Pilar. Ipanalangin mo kami.
