Today I celebrate the woman who stands with me in all I do for Jesus. When others fall away she is always with me. For the past 38 years she has been my closest confidante, and beside Jesus, she is my very best friend. Her quiet heroism has been to speak truth when others will not, and to encourage me to continue the "Good Fight" when others have turned aside, or fled. I make this p***c declaration because Shirley is celebrating her Birthday today, and I am privileged to join her in this. Other than His Son, Shirley is the very best gift that God can offer to our Church family --- a Pastor's Wife who simply will not quit! Happy Birthday Sweetheart. I love you!

Good Morning Friends,

This morning I am in a recruiting mood!

Our VBS Program has not drawn a response from our Church Family so far. We will need 25 people who are committed to this program in order for us to proceed.

At this time we are interested to know who among us is able and willing to serve our Church in this brief one week program. Although we have advertised July 13-17 as the planned time for the program, we are willing to flex a little in order to make this work. We are considering shortening the program to four days in order to make it more impactful, and successful.

We need people of all ages who can teach, lead, and/or assist in delivering this vital outreach ministry. Blair has been busy planning and preparing the necessary props for VBS. What we need now are those who are prepared to learn and deliver the necessary parts of the program.

Please reach-out to me so that we can anticipate a successful "VBS 2026." I will work with Blair to bring it all together.

I will post a more typical Update later this week.

I'm trusting this will publish, having posted an update this afternoon that disappeared.

Please pray for Stan Peters who will undergo a medical exploratory procedure tomorrow. Pray that God will fill Stan's heart with peace and confidence in God to do all things well (& Sandra).

Our regular ministries continue this week.

Saturday all are invited to join Georgia Morris and her family at the Church Building for a Birthday Celebration from 2-4pm. Come and wish Georgia a Happy Birhthday.

Belated Update:

Good Morning Friends,

I trust you week has been fruitful and blessed.

Let me begin with an urgent prayer request for Isaac age 16 living in Calgary. Isaac was brutally assaulted and left with a severed Carotid Artery. Surgeons have repaired the artery and had to revive him twice. Please be praying that God in His grace will continue to breathe life into Isaac's frail body, and that He will heal all of the injuries that Isaac sustained in this attack. Pray also that Isaac's family will be drawn closer to God through these difficult experiences.

Our Community Bible Study will be held at the Domapias home (707 Ave. Q North) beginning at 6pm. If you have never shared in one of our Bible Studies, please join us and see what God is doing at Bay Park Baptist Church. Thank you to all of our host homes for your hospitality. No sacrifice to God goes unrewarded.

Tomorrow at 9am the "Early Riser's Bible Study" will take place in the Church Board Room. If you have questions on your heart that seem to receive no answers, bring them.

Our Worship Service commences at 10:30am (10:15am for the stragglers 😁). The Message is "Supernatural Growth, Reach, and Mission." Join us for a time of refreshing, fellowship, praise, and worship.

For those mothers "out there" let me wish you all a very happy Mother's Day in advance.
