“Mom, I don’t want to die”, is what my beautiful daughter cried out to me just days before her death on February 12, 2026.
My daughter, Kim was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer in September, 2024.
She endured chemotherapy that became complicated by a deadly septic infection that ravished her entire body so severely she ended up in ICU on a ventilator.
Eventually, she was transferred to the rehab unit with the results like that of a stroke patient. She had to relearn to walk, feed herself and even think properly. Things were made more difficult as her memory was also affected.
She contracted covid. The coughing was so extreme that it frequently lead to her losing consciousness.
One day after her 49th birthday, on January 4, Kim was admitted to hospital again, as she was overcome with so much excruciating pain .…..unbearable pain .….. uncontrollable pain. They gave her radiation to try to decrease some of her pain. A new trial immunotherapy was introduced, but the cancer had spread too far.
Many, many times throughout this nightmare journey, I tried to talk with Kim about God and salvation. It was always met with “I don’t want to talk about God, I don’t want to talk about dying”.
I’m not sure, but it was almost like she didn’t want to accept the severity of her situation and maybe the talking about God and salvation would insist she do exactly that.
Kim believed in God, I know that, but I don’t know if she had accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Kim was a beautiful soul, most definitely a wonderful woman!
She was loving, oh, so loving!
She was very giving, she would give anyone the shirt off her back. She was helpful, she would have done anything for you.
Unfortunately, “good deeds” are simply not enough to get anyone in to Heaven. Everyone needs to make Jesus Lord of their life to ensure they get to spend eternity in Heaven.
I miss Kim more than I can ever describe. Most days my grief is heavier than I feel I can bear. It is only by the strength I get from God alone that I can put one foot in front of the other.
The only thing that could lighten my devastation is knowing for sure that she is in Heaven with Jesus, my parents and other family members who are there.
PLEASE DON’T WAIT!
Please make Jesus The Lord of your life NOW, before it’s too late!
Please don’t wait another second!
PLEASE!! 🙏🏼
