Chers fils et filles de l’Éparchie Saint‑Sauveur au Canada,
C’est peut‑être la seule « prophétie » que notre cher Père Béchara Abou Mourad n’a pas réussi à accomplir ! En effet, ce matin, nous nous sommes réveillés avec la joyeuse nouvelle que nous attendions depuis longtemps : Sa Sainteté le Pape Léon XIV a approuvé la proclamation du Père Béchara Abou Mourad, moine salvatorien, comme Bienheureux.
Félicitations à notre Église Grecque Melkite Catholique, en Orient comme en Occident, pour son nouveau Bienheureux !
Félicitations à notre cher Ordre Basilien Salvatorien pour l’élévation de son fils au rang des Bienheureux !
Félicitations au Liban, à Zahlé, à Deir el‑Qamar et aux villages de sa vallée, à Saïda, au Monastère du Saint‑Sauveur, ainsi qu’à chaque lieu foulé par les pas du nouveau Bienheureux, pour cette annonce pleine de joie !
Félicitations à notre Éparchie Melkite au Canada, à ses prêtres comme à ses fidèles, pour cette heureuse nouvelle. Nous attendons avec impatience que la date de la béatification soit fixée afin d’y participer avec ferveur et allégresse.

أحبّائي أبناء أبرشيّة المخلّص في كندا،
ربّما هذه النبوءة الوحيدة التي فشل أبونا بشارة في تحقيقها! ففي هذا الصباح، استيقظنا على الخبر المفرح الذي طالما انتظرناه، وهو موافقة قداسة البابا لاون الرابع عشر على إعلان الأب بشارة أبو مراد الراهب المخلّصيّ طوباويًّا.
هنيئًا لكنيستنا الروميّة الملكيّة الكاثوليكيّة، شرقًا وغربًا، بطوباويها الجديد!
هنيئًا لأمّنا الرهبانيّة الباسيليّة المخلّصيّة ترفيع ابنها البارّ إلى مصفّ الطوباويّين!
هنيئًا للبنان، ولزحلة، ولدير القمر ووداياها، ولصيدا، ولدير المخلّص العامر، ولكلّ مكان وطأت فيه قدَما الطوباويّ الجديد، هذا الخبر المفرح!
هنيئًا لأبرشيّتنا الملكيّة في كندا، كهنةً ومؤمنين، هذا الخبر السارّ، ونحن ننتظر تحديد موعد التطويب كي تشارك فيه أبرشيّتنا بعزم كبير وفرح عارم.

Dear sons and daughters of the Saint‑Saviour Eparchy in Canada,
This is perhaps the only “prophecy” that our beloved Father Bechara Abou Mourad did not manage to fulfill! This morning, we awoke to the joyful news we had long been awaiting. His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has approved the elevation to the rank of Blessed of Father Bechara Abou Mourad, Basilian Salvatorian monk.
Congratulations to our Melkite Greek Catholic Church, in the East and in the West, on its new Blessed!
Congratulations to our dear Basilian Salvatorian Order for the elevation of its son to the rank of the Blessed!
Congratulations to Lebanon, to Zahlé, to Deir el‑Qamar and the villages of its valley, to Saida, to the Monastery of the Holy Saviour, and to every place touched by the footsteps of the newly Blessed, for this joyful announcement!
Congratulations to our Melkite Eparchy in Canada, to its priests and its faithful, for this happy news. We eagerly await the announcement of the date of the beatification so that we may take part in it with fervor and rejoicing.
