It is with regret that the Board of the Old St. Thomas Church Restoration Trust will not be hosting the Annual Christmas Carol Sing this year. The Old Church has been closed to the public this fall for much needed restorative plaster repairs. The Old Church will reopen in the spring to welcome visitors. This Christmas we encourage you to donate to the Salvation Army Christmas Relief Program to support families in need. The Carol Sing will be back next year! Wishing all a wonderful holiday season and Merry Christmas!

We have begun placing flags at the graves of over 80 service women and men. The Cemetery is the final resting place for veterans of the Napoleonic Wars, War of 1812, including Thomas Kains, who was part of the siege of the Presidents House aka White House. Rebellion of 1837, US Civil War, Boer War, World Wars 1 and 2, and Korea. We know there must be others, in particular, the Scattering Garden. If you know of a name, please let us know. Thanks. We Will Remember Them.

Congratulations and best wishes to our friend and long time board member Steve Peters on his retirement from public service. We are so fortunate to have Steve continue to be part of the Old St Thomas Church Restoration and Maintenance Trust. His passion for the preservation of the site and dedication to the Old Church’s historical significance within the community ensures that her story continues.
