Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (OLPH) CWL in Rothesay is having a bake sale next month. 🧁 Come visit the CWL for a social cuppa tea and leave with much joy on November 21 & 22 before and after Mass. Bake sale is upstairs; there will be a Bazaar downstairs in the Hall with tea & coffee.

* OLPH CWL members are having a quilt raffle with the ticket drawn in December. There will be tickets for our quilt available downstairs in the Hall at this time.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

God often strengthens us through the love, compassion, and faithful presence of others.

The verse reminds us that support is not a weakness. Accepting help can be an act of humility, and offering help can be an act of love. Sometimes we are the ones who need lifting; at other times, we are called to lift someone else.

We are not called to walk alone, but to walk together in Christ. Through the Holy Spirit, we can become instruments of God’s healing presence in one another’s lives. A kind word, a listening ear, a prayer, or a practical act of service can help someone find the strength to stand again.

Lord Jesus, teach us to recognize one another as gifts from You. Give us humble hearts to accept help when we are struggling and compassionate hearts to offer help when others are in need. May Your Holy Spirit guide our words and actions, so that no one feels forgotten, and may we always reflect Your love by lifting one another up. Amen.

As His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV recovers following surgery, sisters in the League are asked to pray he has a full recovery. May the Holy Spirit walk with him and guide him during this journey. We ask Mary, Our Lady of Good Counsel, the League’s patroness, to watch over him as she watched over her Son.

A Heart Full of Thanksgiving: A Message from National President Betty Colaneri

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, my heart will be filled with gratitude for the many blessings God has so generously placed in our lives.

Among the blessings for which I am especially thankful is the gift of sisterhood I share with the members of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada. From coast to coast to coast, I continue to be inspired by women who generously give of their time, talents and hearts in service to God, the church and Canada.

Throughout my travels and encounters with members, I have witnessed the faith, joy, compassion and dedication that make our sisterhood so special. You continually remind me that when women of faith come together with a shared purpose, wonderful things can happen. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of walking alongside you.

This Thanksgiving, may we also remember those who are struggling—the poor, the lonely, the grieving, the marginalized and all those longing for hope. May our gratitude move beyond words and inspire us to continue sharing God’s love through our actions. May our hearts continue to burn with love for Christ and with a desire to serve one another.

I thank God for each of you, for all you do in His name, for our wonderful League and for the friendship and sisterhood we share.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus bless you for the countless ways you continue to serve God and Canada.
