A new season in the church won’t begin because we found the perfect strategy, had another meeting, or developed another program.

It begins when the church truly begins to pray. 🙏

Not performative prayer. Not prayer as a formality before we get to the “real work.” But the kind of prayer that says:

God, search us. Correct us. Connect us. Give us wisdom. And show us where You are leading.

Pastor Jonathan reminds us that when a church truly prays together, discernment begins to emerge. Hearts begin to soften. Relationships begin to heal. And suddenly the question isn’t, “What do I want?” but “God, what are You calling us to become?”

The next chapter of our church doesn’t start with a plan, it starts with Prayer.

We all have habits we know are destructive—and churches do too.

Personally, there are patterns we excuse, reactions we defend, and cycles we keep repeating because they’ve become comfortable.

But the same can be true in a church community.
Sometimes we protect unhealthy traditions.
Sometimes we normalize harmful behaviours.
Sometimes we keep repeating patterns simply because “that’s how we’ve always done it.”
Transformation requires more than recognizing what’s unhealthy. It requires the courage to confront it.

Individually and as a Church community, we have to ask:

Are we actually willing to confront the habits, systems, and patterns that are hurting people and keeping us from becoming who God is calling us to be?

Because healing doesn’t just comfort us.
Sometimes healing confronts us.

🌎❤️ What an incredible International Potluck! 🍽️✨

We are so grateful to God for such a beautiful day of food, fellowship, laughter, and connection! 🙏🏽

It was so special seeing people from all different backgrounds come together, share dishes that are meaningful to their cultures and families, and proudly represent their heritage through their beautiful cultural outfits. 🥻🌍

But more than just sharing a meal, today was an opportunity to grow together as a church family — to learn from one another, share our stories and faith, and build connections across generations and cultures.

From our little ones and youth to our young adults, families, adults, and seniors, it was so wonderful seeing so many of our church family come together. 🥹❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who brought a dish, dressed up, helped make the day happen, or simply came and joined us. And thank you, God, for blessing our time together! 🙏🏽
