In a world filled with bad news, the Church has been entrusted with the greatest news ever proclaimed: the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again so that we could be forgiven and receive new life. The gospel is not simply good advice about improving ourselves; it is the good news of what Jesus has already done for us. It remains “the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16).
In this September issue of The Pentecostal Messenger, we celebrate a message that still transforms lives through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the gift of the Holy Ghost.
