The theme for this months Issue of the Pentecostal Messenger is on the book of Acts. The Book of Acts is more than the record of what happened after Jesus ascended—it is the story of what happened when ordinary people were empowered by an extraordinary God. As we journey through Acts, we are reminded that the story is not finished. It continues through you and I today. This issue features a number of articles that dig into this book and I know you will be both challenged and inspired by them!

In a world filled with bad news, the Church has been entrusted with the greatest news ever proclaimed: the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again so that we could be forgiven and receive new life. The gospel is not simply good advice about improving ourselves; it is the good news of what Jesus has already done for us. It remains “the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16).

In this September issue of The Pentecostal Messenger, we celebrate a message that still transforms lives through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the gift of the Holy Ghost.
