Good morning, church family and friends.

I trust this beautiful morning finds you well and attentive to the ways God is showing up in your day. Each Sunday morning, when I arrive at Knox and see you the family of God walking into the sanctuary, my heart is encouraged again and again.

I pray you were encouraged by the Word Rev. Leanne Friesen brought last Sunday, reminding us to keep knocking and keep listening for where God is moving, even in seasons of “Double Trouble” Her message was a powerful reminder that prayer changes us, and Scripture is full of moments where “they prayed, and then…”

We had the opportunity to gather for prayer last night at 7:00 p.m. on the side lawn of Queen St. Baptist Church. It was great to seek God’s will together, step by step.

Moving forward, Knox has graciously offered us the use of their sanctuary for the foreseeable future, until we receive clearance to resume worship back home at Queen St. Baptist. This Sunday, we will gather from 9–10 a.m. in the sanctuary of Knox Presbyterian, 53 Church St.

I warmly invite you to join me tonight on Sunday (at Knox) as we continue to “walk by faith and not by sight.” I am grateful to be walking alongside you in this season.

Good morning, Queen St. Baptist Church family and friends.

What a beautiful August morning the Lord has given us. The rains have refreshed the earth, and now a gentle breeze moves across the ground, drying what was soaked. As you spend time with the Lord this week, I pray that He makes your soul like a well-watered garden, nourished and blooming in His presence.

Isaiah 58:11, Isaiah is speaking to the people of God when he says: “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose water never fail.”

Day by day, the Lord shows His gentle guidance, and in the big things as well as the small He continues to meet every need with His gracious provision. With gratitude, I share that we will once again gather this Sunday, August 23rd, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 53 Church Street, at 9 a.m. Your presence last Sunday deeply encouraged me. It showed your devotion to the Lord and your readiness to adjust as we walk through this difficult time together.

Those who are navigating flood related insurance claims know how much patience is required, for these matters seldom move quickly. Even as I write this update, Jeremy is at the church for another appointment, faithfully tending to the work before him. I ask that you continue to lift him in prayer, that the Lord would strengthen him as he serves on our behalf.

This evening, Wednesday August 19 at 7:00 p.m. we will be having our weekly prayer meeting. (This meeting will be cancelled if it is raining) Our time together will be no longer to 45 minutes and it will be held on the side lawn of the church. (Please bring a lawn chair). May God’s blessing and refreshing grace be upon you as you serve Him in the very places He has planted you.

Good morning, dear Church Family and Friends. I’m excited to announce that Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 53 Church Street (next to the courthouse and across from City Hall), has kindly invited us to use their sanctuary for this Sunday’s service. To make this possible, our Sunday August 16th service will run from 9:00–10:00 a.m., so please take note of the adjusted time.
Just a reminder that those who would like to join me, we will be gathering tonight, Wednesday, August 12th, for a 30–45-minute prayer time, starting at 7 p.m. on the side lawn of Queen St. Baptist. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll need to cancel. Please remember to bring a lawn chair.
