We have a ten year old boy who basically lived on the streets before he came to be with us. He is an orphan and his grandmother was not capable enough to take care of him anymore. He would leave his grandmother’s house and go to the streets. Sometimes he would be gone for a month at a time. He had friends on the streets who would dress him up like a girl and teach him to act like a girl to get the attention of men and teenage boys. He came to live with us in February 2026. One month later he gave him life to Jesus. At first, he would have episodes of violence in the house. He would make inappropriate gestures and constantly say curse words. He had a lot of other bad habits that he learned on the streets. We have spent a lot of time ministering to him and loving him. There are some areas of his life where he still needs healing but he is definitely not the same boy who arrived in February. God is changing and transforming his life more everyday.

In April 2026 Young Strength Missions partnered with Love Honduras to build a school in the community where Angela and her family live. It was nearly an hour hike into the mountain. While the community had one teacher, they had no school building. The students were studying in a small borrowed mud house with a few books. They had only a few broken desks. Each broken desk was shared by children. Once the school was completed each student received their own new desk, a bag full of school supplies,a new pair of shoes, and books for two years. Their school also received various sports activities, craft supplies, and storybooks to read.
Along with building the school, a feeding program site was built beside the school, which includes a storage area, cooking area, and a shelter where the children can sit and eat their lunch. Love Honduras held a special day on which all the women in Angela’s community were trained to cook, including Angela. Presently all twenty-five women are now cooking five days a week for their children. When the children get out of school their lunch is ready. Every month Love Honduras will continue to send Manapak, spaghetti, oatmeal, beans, milk, eggs, and more to Angela's community so the children can have a healthy meal .
Angela understands she is loved, not only on earth, but also by her Heavenly Father. Her children have hope of a better future.
Compassion is love in action. “Dear children, we must show love through actions that are sincere, not through empty words.” (1 John 3:18 GW)

Angela and Anivel
In January 2021, Angela gave her life to Jesus at an evangelistic meeting we did in San Juan, one of the communities on the mountain. Jesus began to change her life and the lives of her children and husband drastically. Every time we were on the mountain she would come and hear the Word of God. Her children would come to Kidz Club. I showed a little extra love to their family. Sometimes I would pack a bag of groceries just for them. Team members spent extra time reaching out to her children. They started walking almost an hour to eat at a feeding program Love Honduras had in another community. They began to look healthier. Then I noticed they looked cleaner. Their clothes were cleaner. The children had more energy and participated in Kidz Club. Sometimes Angela would walk hours if she heard we were on the mountain just to see us.
One day our team was going door to door visiting people. Some of my team decided to walk up to Angela’s house. It was a twenty minute walk up a mountain. This is where Angela and her family of five lived *picture in post* I knew we had to do something and this is when God birthed in my heart Homes of Hope of Montana De La Flor.
We quickly raised the money to build my friend Angela a new house. Another missionary friend of mine who builds houses in Honduras offered to build it for me. Just a few months later Angela and Anivel had their new house. This marked the first of many new homes for Montana De La Flor. Every time I am on the mountain Angela finds me and thanks me for her house. She always has a smile on her face. This house did not solve all their struggles, but it filled her and her family with hope. It taught them about the love Jesus❤

In August 2025, the Love Honduras team went to La Mosquitia. Soon after we arrived, I saw a young girl that I have known for years. I immediately hugged her, but she was as stiff as a board, which was unusual for her. With a scared look on her face, she told me that she was pregnant. This girl was only thirteen years old. She came from a very poor family and sometimes they would have no food to eat. This girl´s mother traded her daughter to a man to be r***d by him for money and food. Her mother felt like she had no other choice. My mom, Pastor Michelle, and I agreed that we could not leave this young girl in La Mosquitia. We also could not leave her fifteen year old sister, who had gone through very similar trauma as well. These two girls said to us, “Take us with you, please.” Any person with any kind of compassion would not be able to say “no” to them. This is how Home of Miracles started. When we first got these sweet girls, they didn't even know how to read due to the very bad school system in La Mosquitia. They are now both in school, learning how to read with big dreams in their hearts. In October the thirteen year old had her baba, a beautiful baby boy. They are all safe, getting the love, education, and treatment they deserve. They also have a desire to serve God and serve in the Ministry with Love Honduras.
