Obituary of Mrs. Gina Kossilos
KOSSILOS, Gina – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 67. Gina was a loving devoted mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend to so many. She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the way she always showed up for the people she loved. A true mama bear, Gina loved fiercely, gave endlessly, and always made others feel welcome, supported, and cared for.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Constantine and Marie, who were the center of her world and greatest pride. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Tessi, and brother-in-law, Demetri; her niece and goddaughter Nicole, (Youseff) and their beautiful children Theo and Gigi; and her nephew, Demetri. She will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law Nick (Toula) and their children Maria (J.P) and Gus (Roula), as well as her sister-in-law Nia Contonis (Dennis) and their child Sam (Sally).
Gina is reunited with her beloved husband, Tom Kossilos, who passed in 2021, and her loving parents, Dimitrios and Vicky Koutsogiannopoulos, whom she missed dearly.
For many years, Gina was known through Bjays Kitchen Bar, a place that meant so much to her and her family. What began as her parents’ restaurant later became her sister’s, and then her son’s — with Gina being part of it through every chapter. Working alongside her parents, sister, husband, and children over the years in both their businesses, she built lifelong friendships and touched the lives of many through her warmth, kindness, and caring heart.
Gina will be remembered for her love, strength, and the way she made people feel like family. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
To our mother - Our hearts will never be the same without you.
forever loved, forever missed. Rest now, reunited with our dad.
