Our ESL classes have come to an end for this term, and it has been such a wonderful season together.

Through ESL, many of our neighbours had the opportunity to spend meaningful time at the church, grow in their English, and build friendships in a welcoming community.

Even though we all come from different backgrounds, it was beautiful to see everyone learning, respecting one another, caring for one another, and growing together.

We are so thankful for our ESL team and for the way they faithfully served each week. Our students are truly grateful for each of our ESL team members and the love they have shown.

We also want to thank all of our students for being part of this journey. You are always welcome here at Westburne, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Please continue to pray with us for the next term of ESL ministry beginning in September. We are excited to see how God will continue to work through this ministry.

Good morning, Westburne family!

Tim, Mike, and Storm are in Calgary this week for the 2026 Alliance General Assembly.

And look what they found — a Westburne building right beside First Alliance Church! 🤣🤣

Please keep them in your prayers for a safe trip and a meaningful time of spiritual refreshment as they gather with the wider Alliance community.

We’re thankful for this opportunity and excited to see how God will encourage and lead them through this time. We look forward to the encouragement, ideas, and resources they will bring back to Westburne.

Today was the last session of Alpha.

For the past 11 weeks, we have gathered every Wednesday over dinner, sharing conversations, asking honest questions, and learning together about Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Church.

We are so thankful for everyone who came and journeyed with us. We also want to say a special thank you to our table leaders who faithfully served each week, and to our kitchen team who served so generously behind the scenes.

In the video we watched together today, there was a message that deeply reminded us of the heart of Alpha:

“If you remember nothing else from Alpha, remember this one thing: Jesus truly loves you. And if you had been the only person in the world, He still would have gone to the cross for you.”

All glory to God for what He has done through Alpha.

Please continue to pray with us as we prepare for Alpha to begin again in September. We are excited to see how God will continue to work through this ministry.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our Canada Day Celebration! 🇨🇦⚽

This year, we’re celebrating with a 2026 FIFA World Cup theme — a fun evening for the whole family and community.

Come enjoy live music, BBQ, food and drinks, family fun for all ages, and fireworks!

Last year, we had the joy of serving over 500 local residents on Canada Day. This year, we want to continue building relationships with our neighbours and demonstrating God’s love to our community.

We are also looking for volunteers to help make this event possible. If you’d like to serve with us and help welcome our neighbours, we’d love to have you join the team.

Volunteer sign-up deadline: June 21

Bring your family, invite your friends and neighbours, and come celebrate Canada Day with us.

We’d love to see you there!
