Today is the Fourth Sunday of Advent, and the reading is from Psalm 80: 17-19.

Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, the son of man you have made so strong for yourself.

And so will we never turn away from you; give us life, that we may call upon your name.

Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; show the light of your countenance, and we shall be saved.

Today is the Eighth Sunday after Pentecost, and the reading is from Psalm 107: 8-9.

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his mercy and the wonders he does for his children.

For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Whoever is wise will ponder these things, and consider well the mercies of the Lord.

Today is the Sunday of the Resurrection: Easter Day, and the reading is from 1 Corinthians 19-22.

If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died.

For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being; for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
