We’re so thankful for those who were able to attend the First Responders Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday.

Thank you also to the local businesses (Embrun Independent and Russell Foodland) who donated food for the breakfast.

We are so thankful for the fellowship our ladies enjoyed at the retreat this past weekend.

We’re so excited to be hosting our annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast again this year!

Since 2018, we’ve put on a breakfast for First Responders (fire, paramedic, and police) and their families that serve and live in the Russell/Embrun area. If you fit that description, we’d love to have you join us!

Feel free to contact us for more information.

Thank you to Chris Thayer, for organizing the men’s Psalm sing, and for this post:

Clear winter sky.
Steady fire.
Brothers gathered.
Friday night, men from our church and several sister congregations stood around the flames and sang the imprecatory Psalms — not songs of revenge, but prayers for justice.
“Arise, O Lord.”
“Defend the righteous.”
“Judge wickedness.”
The Psalms don’t ignore evil.
They teach us to bring it before a holy God.
There’s something powerful about men standing shoulder to shoulder, lifting their voices, trusting the King to set things right.
No spectacle.
Just firelight, Scripture, and faith.
Grateful for the brothers who came

A group of youth from the congregation took advantage of the holiday from school and enjoyed a breakfast together at the church!

We are so thankful for these young people and pray that they would continue to grow in their faith and love for the Lord.
