Sharing this on behalf of Harmony United Church. Rev. Jennifer Broomhead’s husband is in hospital in Halifax. Please hold their family in your prayers.

Save the Date of Saturday, June 6th and come to our Spaghetti Supper! All proceeds will go to Rev. Jen, Gord, and Amelia as they navigate emergency medical travel to Halifax.

Tickets are $20 per Adult; $10 for Children under 12 and $50 for a Family of up to 6 people.

Dine in and Take out will be available.

Meal includes:
Caesar Salad
Roll
Tea & Coffee
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (Vegetarian Sauce will be available upon request)
Dessert of French Vanilla Ice Cream with Mandarin Oranges.

An amazing weekend at Saint David’s. Our Spring Tea was a huge success and sold out with 150 people. Many thanks to all who volunteered and contributed items and purchased tickets.

Today was a day of Celebration as we recognized Mother’s Day, Christian Family Sunday, Confirmation and Reception of New Members. Saint David’s is blessed to have 27 new members including 10 youth who were confirmed.

So much to be thankful for!

Today we pause to recognize something that often happens quietly, faithfully, and without expectation of recognition, the gift of your time, your energy, and your heart.

To each of you who volunteers at Saint David’s, thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings and the late evenings. Thank you for the unseen tasks and the small acts of kindness that make a big difference. Thank you for showing up, not just when it’s convenient, but when it’s needed.

You are the hands that prepare, the voices that encourage, the hearts that care, and the presence that welcomes.

Whether you are singing in the choir, teaching children, ushering and greeting, reading scripture, visiting those who are lonely, serving on our official
Board, serving on committees, preparing meals, delivering meals, setting up tables and chairs, helping with the clothing depot, helping with fundraising initiatives, making coffee and tea, taking care of our building, helping with the gardens, helping with the blessings food box, leading worship, and the list goes on….or offering quiet support behind the scenes, you are living out the love we are called to share.

Because of you, this church is not just a building. It is a community. It is a place where people feel seen, supported, and loved.

Your work may not always be noticed, but it is deeply valued. And more than that, it is part of something sacred.

So during this Volunteer Appreciation Week, we say with full hearts:
Thank you for who you are.
Thank you for what you give.
And thank you for being such an important part of this community.

We are truly grateful! Thank you 💕
