Please pray with us for all who are impacted by and responding to the wildfire in our region.
Creating and Sustaining God,
We lift before you the Lobstick Fire and all who are impacted by it.
We pray for the communities of Duck Lake, Lily Plain, and Macdowell,
asking for protection for people, property, and infrastructure.
We pray for the fire crews involved in fighting the fires,
asking for strength, stamina, and clarity of mind.
Protect and sustain them as they work on the front lines.
We pray for those involved in emergency response management -
the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, local municipalities,
fire departments and service agencies,
asking for wisdom, good communication and coordination,
and timely and adequate responses.
We pray for all those who have had to evacuate,
asking that you would draw near to them and give them peace and comfort.
Provide welcoming spaces, compassionate hosts, and the resources they need.
We pray for those in surrounding communities who are impacted by smoke and ash,
especially those at risk due to health conditions,
asking for protection from exposure and access to safe spaces with clean air.
We pray for the weather conditions,
asking for the winds to be calmed, and for rain.
We pray for the land, the forest, and wildlife,
asking for your protection and revitalization.
God of heaven and earth,
draw near and help us.
