Thank you to the following people who helped repair, prepared the location and installed the new directional sign (the old cemetery sign) on Sweetwater and Rolla Road intersection.



Colin Scobie for organizing and over seeing everyone and everything.

Kane Cay for blasting and painting the old sign.

Dean Mattson for outlining the sign with silver paint so it was easier to see.

Reno Fitch for helping Colin and Keltie take the carriganas out and hauling them away.

Tim Pavlis for mowing the corner with big ditch mower.

Rick Pavlis donated the pipe and beer for when the job was done.

Bob Steeves’ crawled on hands and knees holding the level for Colin.

Ron Scobie sanded and painted the pipe and donated backhoe.



None of these people wanted or required any recognition; they just volunteered their time and resources to get it done. Thank you!

The Annual Rolla Community Cemetery clean up that was planned for tomorrow June 14, 2025 has been cancelled until the weather improves! ☔️ Stay tuned for the new clean up date.
The AGM will still proceed at 8:00am at the Rolla Hall. Everyone welcome to attend!

A big THANK YOU to ARC Resources Ltd. For sending out volunteers to tend to the Rolla Cemetery grounds, doing a pre clean up prior to our planned clean up on June 14 at 8:00am. We are grateful for the many caring volunteers that quietly go about caring for our beautiful little cemetery throughout the summer months. Even though we may not always know who you are (because you draw no attention to your good deeds and ask for no recognition), your efforts have not gone unnoticed and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts

ROLLA CEMETERY GETS A NEW SIGN

On July 24, 2024, the Rolla Cemetery received a new sign that was donated by Lillian (Mae) Anderson of Rotary Manor, Dawson Creek, BC.

The sign was designed by Lana Wilfur and fabricated by Dark Arc Welding Inc both of Dawson Creek, BC.
