There are two events happening at Camp Douglas on Saturday July 18, and we would love to invite you to join either or both of them!

1 - Our Camp Committee will be gathering for a time of Prayer and Discernment as we look to the future of the Camp Douglas ministry. This event will run from 10AM-3PM (lunch provided) and is open to anyone who loves and prays for Camp Douglas.

2 - Our summer staff team will be preparing the property for when our campers arrive in just a few weeks. If you would be willing to help vacuum a cabin or rake a forest path, we would welcome every extra pair of hands.

In either case, you are welcome to join for the Saturday day-only option (10am–3pm) or stay at the camp overnight and head out Sunday lunchtime. We would love to see you there!

All under 19s must be accompanied by an adult.

SOS: We need Male Cabin Leaders!

We are getting so excited for camp, but we are still really short on male cabin leaders. Currently, poor Cola is our only male cabin leader! Cola is spectacular - but he needs at least one buddy.

To safely run our camps this summer, we need at least 1 more male cabin leader per week.

If you’ve ever been a camper at Camp Douglas, you know how life-changing a good cabin leader can be. Could you give a week this August to volunteer, and be a camper's hero? Or do you know someone who can?

Every donation we receive in June will go into our Campership Fund.

Our big goal for this month is to raise $6,000 so we can provide partial or full subsidies for all the families currently on our waitlist. We never want finances to be a barrier for children to come to Camp Douglas.

The Hymn Swing Benefit Concert last Sunday was a huge success!

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended. Together, we raised a fantastic $6,600!

This total makes a significant contribution to the ongoing operational costs of the Camp Douglas ministry; specifically, it completely covers the cost of one staff member for the entire summer season.

We also want to extend our special thanks to Brian Fraser, Noah Franche-Nolan, and Brentwood Presbyterian Church, Burnaby, BC for catalyzing the event and putting together the evening's incredible music.

Finally, thank you to Martin Baxter, Sofia Avelino, and everyone at@sasspresbyterian for being such welcoming, supportive and generous hosts.
