“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Another great promise from God here to his people. Let us be reminded that our God is a faithful God and infallible God. His words are infallible.

When times get rough we tend to question his plans for us because we always claim his promise focusing on this one verse (v11) without context.

God calls us to construe his message by meditating his word (Joshua 1:8), therefore we ought to decipher his message according to his purpose.

Succeeding verse (v12-13) calls us to seek him and pray to him. Now the question is, when we thought that God’s plan is not manifesting in our lives, have we seek and prayed to him? Have we lived according to the premise of that message?

Sometimes we take only his good word not the premise. It’s time for us to earnestly seek God and by His grace, He will fulfill his promise to us. Live according to his premise, not according to his promise.

Same goes on our r calling. We might think that we are not capable of stretching our hands, reaching the goal, fulfilling the duty in a Christ like manner. Nonetheless, here we see that Jesus extends his grace to the man who has withered hand. Regardless of circumstances, his miracles were never limited by legalism. Besides, he was the law, he made the law indeed rightful to alter it to what is good or even better.

Christ invites us to stretch our hands, encourage us to fulfill the work he delegated us to do. As the withered hand man obeyed, stretching his arms we see miracles. We too must listen to what God is whispering us to do. More than instruction but a conviction that works beneath the flesh - a heart convicting truth revealed to us that when He tells you do so it so, nothing can hinder his miraculous will.
