🌟12th Philippine Flag-Raising Ceremony🌟

On June 13, 2026, five Honour Guards from our Assembly proudly participated in the 12th Philippine Flag-Raising Ceremony commemorating the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence at Richmond City Hall Plaza.

Organized by the Richmond 55+ers Wellness and Fitness Society, the ceremony brought together community leaders, elected officials, and members of the Filipino community in a celebration of heritage, unity, and patriotism.

Mayor Malcolm Brodie addressed the gathering and proclaimed June as Filipino Heritage Month in Richmond. Philippine Consul General Dr. Gina Jamoralin also delivered remarks, joined by Richmond City Councilors, Richmond School Board representatives, and Member of Parliament Mr. Chuk Au.

Representing our Assembly were SK Alberto, SK George, SK Happy, SK Ben, and SK Mike.

Our Assembly has been honored to participate in this annual event since 2022 and remains committed to supporting cultural and community celebrations throughout Richmond.

🌟⛪🌟Honour Guards Gather with Fr. Anthony Ho Following Corpus Christi Celebration 🌟⛪🌟

A special moment following the Corpus Christi celebration at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church on 7 June 2026.

Pope John Paul I Assembly 2485's Honour Guards were pleased to serve at the Mass and Corpus Christi Procession celebrated by Fr. Anthony Ho. Following the celebration, the Honour Guards gathered with Fr. Ho for a commemorative photograph.

The Corpus Christi Procession is a beautiful public witness to our faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. We thank Fr. Ho for leading this meaningful celebration and all parishioners who participated in the procession through the surrounding neighbourhood.

🌟⛪🌟Corpus Christi Procession🌟⛪🌟

On 7 June 2026, ten Honour Guards from our Assembly 2485 participated in the Corpus Christi celebration at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church, serving both during the entrance procession for the 11:45 AM Mass and the Corpus Christi Procession that followed.

Representing the Assembly were District Marshall, SK Alberto Nisperos, Color Corps Commander, SK George Po, Faithful Navigator SK Happy Tay, Past Faithful Navigator, SK Peter Ng, SK Stephen Lau, SK Emmery Leung, SK Tony Leung, SK Dominic Mak, SK Stephen Tsang and SK Wilfredo Sinconeque.

The procession through the surrounding neighborhood was a public witness of faith and devotion to the Holy Eucharist. We are proud that more than half of our Assembly's Honour Guards answered the call to serve at this important parish celebration.

✨Answering the Call to Serve - Marian Procession✨

On May 31, 2026, four Honour Guards answered a last-minute request from District Marshal SK Mark Pan to lead the Marian Procession at St. Joseph Parish in Port Moody following the Noon Mass.

Participating were SK Mark Pan (District Marshal and Serving Commander), District Marshal SK Alberto Nisperos, SK Herb Yang (Supreme Director and Immediate Past State Deputy), and SK Miguel (Mike) Doria, Grand Knight of Archbishop Duke Council 6855.

Special thanks to SK Mike Doria for stepping in on short notice to assist the Honour Guard, demonstrating the spirit of fraternity and service that defines our Order.

Thank you to these dedicated Sir Knights for their faithful service and visible witness of devotion to Our Blessed Mother.

✝️Honouring the Life of Bro. Mario Simoes✝️

Today, May 28, 2026, members of our Honour Guard attended the Funeral Mass for Bro. Mario Simoes, a longtime member of Christopher Columbus Council 10681, who passed away at the age of 93.

The Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish and officiated by our Assembly Friar, Fr. Manoj Xalxo.

Participating Honour Guards were SK George Po (Colour Corps Commander), SK Happy Tay (Faithful Navigator), and SKs Ben Santos and Kirk Weale.

May Bro. Mario Simoes rest in the peace of Christ, and may his family be comforted by God’s love and prayers from our community.

✝️Honouring Our Blessed Mother: Annual Crowning of Mary ✝️

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, two 4th Degree Honour Guards from our Assembly, SK Alberto Nisperos (District Marshal) and SK Wilfredo Sinconegue, participated in the annual Crowning of Mary at St. Bernadette Parish in Surrey.

Our Assembly has been honoured to support this beautiful Marian devotion each year since 2022. The rosary procession took place within the church grounds, stopping at five stations where the faithful prayed each decade of the Holy Rosary before returning to the church for the crowning ceremony.

It was a prayerful afternoon dedicated to honouring our Blessed Mother through faith, devotion, and unity in prayer.

✝️Honour Guards Serve at Mass for Life in Ladner✝️

On Thursday, May 14, Honour Guards from several Greater Vancouver Assemblies gathered at Sacred Heart Parish in Ladner for this year’s Mass for the March for Life in Victoria.

Pilgrims from many parishes arrived by bus for the 9:15 AM Mass before proceeding together to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal on their journey to Victoria in support of the dignity and sanctity of life.

A total of 12 Honour Guards participated in this important Knights of Columbus BC & Yukon event, including two members from our Assembly: SK Alberto Nisperos, District Marshal, and SK Happy Tay, Faithful Navigator. Also in attendance were District Master SK Ronnie Caballero, District Marshal SK Mark Pan, Past State Deputy SK Michael Yeo, together with Honour Guards from St. Mary Vancouver and Our Lady of Mercy Burnaby.

Thank you to all Sir Knights who faithfully represented the Order with dignity, unity, and devotion.

✝️Honour Guards Serve at State Convention Closing Mass✝️

This morning at 8:00 AM, the Knights of Columbus State Convention concluded with a reverent Closing Mass, bringing together clergy and Sir Knights in prayer and thanksgiving.

A total of 12 Honour Guards served at the Mass, including two from our Assembly—SK Alberto Nisperos (District Marshal) and SK George Po (Color Corps Commander). They were joined by District Master SK Ronnie Caballero, one District Marshal, and eight Honour Guards from various British Columbia Assemblies.

The Mass was officiated by Bishop Joseph Nguyen, Bishop of Kamloops, and co-celebrated by our State Chaplain, Bishop Michael Kwiatkowski, and Rev. Fr. Vincent Hawkswell.

Their presence added dignity and solemnity to the closing of a meaningful and faith-filled State Convention.

✨Honour Guards Add Dignity to State Convention Banquet Evening ✨

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, our Assembly was once again proudly represented at the Knights of Columbus State Convention Banquet Dinner, held at 7:00 PM at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel.

Three of our Honour Guards—SK Alberto Nisperos (District Marshal), SK George Po (Color Corps Commander), and SK Happy Tay (Faithful Navigator)—joined fellow Sir Knights, including three District Marshals and six Honour Guards from various British Columbia Assemblies, in supporting this special evening.

Adding a unique and memorable touch to the banquet was the presence of a Scottish bagpiper, dressed in traditional attire, whose performance brought a sense of ceremony and celebration to the occasion.

Thank you to all Sir Knights who contributed to the success and spirit of this wonderful evening.

✝️ Honour Guards Serve at Necrological Mass during State Convention ✝️

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, our Assembly was honored to be represented at the Knights of Columbus Annual State Convention, held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel.

Three of our Honour Guards—SK Alberto Nisperos (District Marshal), SK George Po (Color Corps Commander), and SK Wilfredo Sinconeque—were present to serve at the Necrological Mass, officiated by our State Chaplain, Bishop Michael Kwiatkowki.

At 8:00 AM, a total of 20 Honour Guards stood together in solemn tribute, including our three members, District Master SK Ronnie Caballero, three District Marshals, and 13 Honour Guards from various Assemblies across British Columbia.

Their presence brought dignity and reverence to this meaningful Mass, as we remembered and prayed for our departed Sir Knights. Thank you to all who served with devotion and unity.
