❤️ Prayerful Farewell to the Sacred Heart Icon

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, our Honour Guards gathered at St. Paul’s Parish at 3:45 PM to participate in a special time of prayer before the departure of the Sacred Heart Icon.

Beginning at 4:00 PM, the Sir Knights joined the faithful in praying the Holy Rosary, Divine Mercy prayers, Prayer to the Sacred Heart, Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and other devotional prayers. The prayer service was led by SK Tony Banting, our newest Fourth Degree member, who had received his Fourth Degree just the previous Saturday.

The prayers concluded at approximately 4:30 PM. Following the prayer service, the Honour Guards solemnly escorted the Sacred Heart Icon out of the church.

Led by SK George Po, Color Corps Commander, and accompanied by his dedicated staff members SK Ben Santos, SK Miguel Doria, and SK Wilfredo Sinconeque, the Sir Knights rendered their service with dignity, reverence, and devotion.

It was a beautiful opportunity for our Honour Guards to unite prayer with service, honouring the Sacred Heart of Jesus and witnessing to our Catholic faith.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus bless our parish community, our families, and all who continue to serve Him.

🙏 Vivat Jesus!

Dedication Anniversary Mass – Celebration of the Shrine of Sto. Niño de Cebu

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, our Assembly once again had the honour of serving at the Dedication Anniversary Mass celebrating the Shrine of Sto. Niño de Cebu at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Agassiz, BC.

The celebration began with a procession at 3:00 PM from the church to the Shrine, led by the Honour Guards. The Mass at the Shrine was officiated by Bishop Reynaldo Bersabal of the Diocese of Sacramento.

Our Assembly was represented by three Sir Knights in Honour Guard service: SK Alberto Nisperos, District Marshal; SK George Po, Color Corps Commander; and SK Kirk Weale. They were joined by one District Marshal and four Honour Guards from other Assemblies, bringing the Honour Guard contingent to eight Sir Knights.

Our Assembly has proudly supported this annual celebration since 2023.

Agassiz is approximately 130 km from Richmond. The Sir Knights dedicated about four hours of travel to answer this call to service, leaving St. Paul’s Parish at 12:15 PM and returning to Richmond around 7:00 PM.

We commend all eight Sir Knights for their dedication, commitment, and faithful service in honour of the Sto. Niño and the Catholic faith.

Vivat Jesus! ⚔️🙏

✝️Pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes 2026 ✝️

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Sir Knights of the Knights of Columbus joined the annual Pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes at the historic Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission, BC.

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 1:00 PM was presided over by Most Rev. Richard W. Smith, Archbishop of Vancouver, with seven priests concelebrating, including one bishop. Following Mass, the faithful processed to the Grotto for the praying of the Rosary and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Our Assembly was represented by three Sir Knights in Honour Guard service: SK Alberto Nisperos, District Marshal; SK George Po, Color Corps Commander; and SK Happy Tay, Faithful Navigator.

They were joined by SK Ronnie F. Caballero, District Master, four District Marshals, one Color Corps Commander, and ten Honour Guards from other Assemblies — a total of 19 Sir Knights.

Their presence reflected the unity, devotion, and spirit of service of the Knights of Columbus in honour of Our Lady.

The pilgrimage concluded with a time of fellowship and picnic, bringing together clergy, Sir Knights, families, and faithful in a beautiful celebration of faith and community.

Vivat Jesus! Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us. 🙏

🇨🇦✝️ A Final Tribute to Past District Deputy Bro. Wayne May 🇨🇦✝️

On Thursday, July 23, 2026, Sir Knights from several Fourth Degree Assemblies gathered at St. Nicholas Parish in Langley, BC, to provide an Honour Guard for the Funeral Mass of Past District Deputy Bro. Wayne May.

As there is no Fourth Degree Assembly or Honour Guard in the district, seven Sir Knights answered District Master SK Ronnie Caballero's call to ensure that our departed Brother received the dignity and honors of a Fourth Degree farewell. The Honour Guard included District Master SK Ronnie Caballero, four District Marshals—including our own SK Alberto Nisperos—and two Sir Knights from neighboring Assemblies.

Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) were also present to pay tribute to Bro. Wayne, who served with the RCMP during his career.

The gathering reflected the true spirit of the Fourth Degree—unity, fraternity, and service. By coming together across Assembly boundaries, the Sir Knights demonstrated that wherever a Brother is in need, the Fourth Degree stands united in prayer, honor, and support.

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen." 🙏

🙏 Honor Guards Es**rt the Sacred Heart Icon at St. Paul’s Parish 🙏

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM, our Assembly Honor Guards participated in the solemn reception of the Sacred Heart Icon at St. Paul’s Parish, Richmond.

The Icon was reverently carried by SKs Francis Yong and Ferdy Chen and escorted in a slow ceremonial march to the altar by SK Alberto Nisperos (District Marshal), SK George Po (Color Corps Commander), SK Ben Santos, and SK Miguel Doria.

During the prayer and devotion, the Honor Guards served in two rotating teams: SKs Ben Santos and Miguel Doria, and SKs Alberto Nisperos and George Po, each standing beside the Icon for 10-minute rotations in silent vigil and reverence.

The Sacred Heart Icon will remain at St. Paul’s Parish until Friday, July 31, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and parishioners are warmly invited to come for prayer, reflection, and devotion.

We thank all the Sir Knights for their faithful service and reverent participation in this meaningful spiritual event.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. 🙏
