Today is Pentecost Sunday 🕊️ that celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the followers of Jesus. It's regarded as "the birthday" 🎂 of the Church.

Can you imagine what it would have felt to be in that room? The Bible tells us that "Tongues of fire" 🔥 appeared and rested on each of them, filling them with the Holy Spirit. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit energized the disciples to step out of hiding and publicly proclaim their faith.

May the Spirit of the Lord allow you to step out boldly in your faith. Who can you share the love of Jesus with this week?

God is our greatest physician and surgeon.
He takes our insufficient efforts and replaces them with something so much better. To receive this abundant help, we must allow Him to do surgery on our hearts, just like a patient signs a consent form. We surrender what is dying and trust Him with our life.

What is it that is dying in your life today? A habit? An unhealthy relationship? Guilt or regret? An attitude of pride or insecurity?

Whatever it is, Jesus is willing to take away all the broken pieces 🧩 of your life and replace them with something brand new ✨ and life giving.

Do you ever feel like you're running on fumes💨? Sometimes we allow the busyness of life to take over and neglect the importance of taking time away to recharge.

On the other side, have you been the one taking everyone else's fuel ⛽? We can also tend to neglect those that care for us and the toll it takes on them.

Even Jesus took time away to withdraw, rest, and pray (Luke 5:16). Pausing for soul-care doesn't mean quitting - it means you are aligning with God's design for your life.

Have you ever felt like you had done some things in life that would completely disqualify you from being a child of God? Maybe you feel that right now. That you are too far gone to be considered important in this life let alone in eternity with Jesus.

The truth is, WE HAVE ALL MISSED THE MARK 🎯. We have all in one way or another, big or small ways have fallen short of God's expectations. But God loves us SO much that He made a way 🛣️ through Jesus, our REDEEMER. And even if you were the only one that needed Jesus to die on the cross ✝️ for to get right with God...He would have made that sacrifice just for YOU 🫵🏼

Your past mistakes or current problems do not dictate your purpose when your life is rooted in Jesus. Invite Him into life if you haven't already or if you have gone astray...He is always waiting for you 🙏🏻
