Loving someone who is in bo***ge to addiction or an active alcoholic is one of the hardest things you can do. Watching someone you love, who has fought so hard to beat addiction, throw everything away and sink back into this cycle is heart wrenching.

Feeling helpless to stop it, feeling like you haven't done enough to help, knowing very well only God can deliver them to a place of freedom. Having to set healthy boundaries to refrain from plunging into the abyss with them is one of the most difficult experiences. You love them from afar and keep praying that they will find their way through the mess. Battling a drug and/or an alcohol addiction is a fierce battle for the person addicted and the ones who love them.

On this day, l am asking you to stand with me in prayer for every family member and friend who is fighting the battle with drugs and alcohol and those who are kneeling in victory with us at the cross of salvation in Christ. 🙏

September is National Recovery Month! If you know or are someone that is battling through this, we can help!

Have there been times in your life when all you can focus on is all the things that are going wrong? Perhaps you are in that season right now. Your attention turns to where things are falling apart. Your thoughts are consumed by negativity and your actions reflect the same.

Psalms 100:5 tells us "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations".

Let this Psalm remind you today that no matter what you are going through...God is working on it. Turn your focus from negativity to gratitude.
Praise God for all he has done and all he is about to do in your life.

Have you ever planned the perfect vacation 🧳🚙⛱️🛩️ and all of sudden, nothing went your way? But when you look back on it, everything actually worked out, sometimes even better than you intended.

Today's verse from Proverbs reminds us that no matter what we feel we can control, God ultimately has the final say.
This is not telling us that we should never plan anything in our lives. You see, when you are fully submitted and surrendered to God, your plans become His plans. The desires of your heart become perfectly aligned with His will.

So Proverbs isn't saying do not plan, it's saying invite God to be a part of your plans.
