A Little Box. A Lot of Love. ❤️

It’s Operation Christmas Child season at Summit! 🎄
Every year, our Summit family comes together to fill shoeboxes with gifts, school supplies and personal care items for children around the world.

But these shoeboxes represent so much more than gifts. Each one is an opportunity to share kindness, bring joy and demonstrate the love of Jesus to a child.

🌍 One shoebox. One child. A message of hope.

We invite our Summit family and friends to take part in this life-giving opportunity to share God’s love and bring joy to children around the world.

Together, we can make a difference, one shoebox at a time! ❤️

🍁 Eucharisteo — A Heart of Thanksgiving 🍂

Eucharisteo is the Greek word meaning “to give thanks.”

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thanksgiving is more than a celebration. It’s a reminder to recognize God’s goodness, grace, and faithfulness in every season of life.

This Sunday, we invite you, your family, and your friends to join us at Summit Community Church for a special Thanksgiving Family Service as we come together in worship, celebration, and gratitude!

🍁 Sunday, October 11 | 10:00 AM

We look forward to celebrating with you!

Would you know how to recognize sexual exploitation — or how to respond if someone you know was affected?

Sexual exploitation can take many forms, and awareness is an important step toward protecting vulnerable people and creating safer communities.

On Sunday, October 4, Summit Community Church is partnering with Defend Dignity for Reflecting Dignity: Equipping Communities to Recognize and Respond to Sexual Exploitation.

Join us from 12:00–2:30 p.m. for lunch, a plenary presentation and two practical workshops designed to help us recognize, understand and respond to sexual exploitation in our communities.

Remembering God’s Goodness

This past Sunday, Pastor Lloyd shared from Psalm 40 about resilience in remembrance through God — how remembering God’s goodness gives us hope to face hardship and grace to extend to others.

Lloyd pointed us to five testifiers of God’s goodness found throughout Psalm 40:

His mercy, steadfast love, faithfulness, salvation and deliverance.

He also shared four practical ways we can strengthen our faith through remembrance:

Count the blessings.
Hope in humility.
Trust by testimony.
Practise faith with frequency.

When we remember what God has done, we’re reminded of who He is — and strengthened to trust Him in what we’re facing today.

And as we share His goodness with others, our testimony can become an encouragement for someone else.
