This Sunday, we gather again as God’s people to worship our faithful Lord, hear His Word, and enjoy fellowship together.

Morning Service | 9:30 AM
By Faith, Holding Fast to God’s Promise to the End

From the faith of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, we will be reminded that God’s promises extend far beyond what we can see in our own lifetime. Our lives are limited, but God’s covenant faithfulness does not end. By faith, we trust His promises, entrust the next generation to Him, and look forward to the day when Christ will bring His people home.

This morning will also be a particularly joyful occasion as we witness the household baptism. We give thanks for God’s covenant faithfulness and for His continuing work of grace among us.

Afternoon Service | 3:30 PM
Sabbath is for Worship

The Lord’s Day is more than simply a day to stop working. It is God’s gracious gift to His people—a day to gather around the risen Christ, hear His Word, worship together, and receive again the blessings we have in Him.

This afternoon will also be a particularly joyful occasion as we witness the profession of faith of a young man.

After the afternoon service, everyone is warmly invited to stay for our Monthly Potluck Dinner. Bring a dish to share if you are able, and come enjoy food and fellowship together.

Whether you have been part of Bethel for many years or are visiting for the first time, you are warmly welcome to worship with us.

🌿 Sunday Worship – Bethel Canadian Reformed Church 🌿

We warmly invite you to join us this Sunday as we gather to worship our Triune God.

Fear can have a powerful hold on our lives. We fear suffering, loss, rejection, and even death—and that fear can tempt us to protect ourselves rather than faithfully follow Christ. Yet the gospel gives us a greater hope: Jesus Christ has conquered death, and in Him our final future is secure.

Because Christ has been perfectly faithful to us, even at the cost of His own life, we are also called to live with faithful trust—keeping our word, honouring our commitments, and following Him even when obedience is costly.

Paul was stoned, dragged out of the city, and left for dead—yet he rose, returned, and continued the mission. His confidence was not in his own strength, but in the risen Christ. Because Jesus has conquered sin and death, fear no longer needs to shepherd the Christian life. Even through suffering and tribulation, Christ strengthens His people and leads them toward His eternal kingdom.

We live in a world where promises are easily made and easily broken, especially when keeping them becomes painful. Yet Scripture describes the righteous person as one who “keeps an oath even when it hurts.”

Ultimately, this points us to Jesus Christ. He remained perfectly faithful to His Father’s will and to His saving mission, even when that faithfulness led Him to the cross. His obedience is our salvation, and His grace teaches us to become people whose words can be trusted and whose commitments reflect His faithfulness.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is a word of grace. Yet wherever that good news is proclaimed, it often meets resistance. Acts reminds us that opposition cannot stop the work of Christ. Through faith and persecution alike, the Lord continues to advance His Word, gather His church, and call sinners to Himself.

As those who belong to Christ, we also bear His name before the world. God has graciously made Himself known to us and placed His name upon His people. The Third Commandment therefore asks a searching question: How are you bearing God’s holy name?

In Iconium, the preaching of the gospel brought both faith and fierce opposition. Some believed, while others stirred up hostility and even threatened Paul and Barnabas. Yet the Word could not be stopped. Christ continued to confirm His grace, gather His people, and carry the gospel into new places. The same Word of grace still advances today, calling us to repent, believe, and rejoice in Jesus Christ.

The gospel begins with a humbling truth: by nature, we reject the very Saviour we desperately need. Yet it also proclaims glorious hope—God, in His sovereign grace, sent His Son to save sinners and grant eternal life to all who believe.

As those redeemed by Christ, we are also called to respond with grateful obedience. The first question God's law asks us is both simple and searching: Whom do you trust?

Paul retells Israel's story and reveals that the cross exposes not only Israel's sin but ours as well. Yet the story does not end there. "But God" raised Jesus from the dead and now proclaims forgiveness, justification, and eternal life through Him to all who believe. Our salvation is entirely the work of God's sovereign grace.

The First Commandment calls us into an exclusive covenant relationship with the God who first loved us. 🌿 Sunday Worship – Bethel Canadian Reformed Church 🌿

We look forward to gathering as God’s family this Sunday to worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Even when reality seems to contradict God’s Word, faith looks to the One who promised. He is faithful and able to accomplish all He has said. The same God who saves us by grace continues His work within us, leading us in repentance and joyful obedience.

Morning Service – 9:30 AM

“He Who Promised Is Faithful”
Scripture: Hebrews 11:11–12, 17–19

This Sunday morning, we will consider the faith of Sarah and Abraham.

Though God’s promise seemed humanly impossible, Sarah considered Him faithful who had promised. Later, when Abraham was commanded to offer Isaac, he trusted that God was able even to raise the dead.

Their faith rested not in themselves but in God’s faithfulness and power. We too are called to trust Him when His promises seem distant and obedience feels costly.

Above all, we look to Jesus Christ, the founder and perfecter of our faith. Our hope rests not on the strength of our faith, but on the faithfulness of God.

“Work Out Your Salvation with Fear and Trembling”

In the afternoon, we will consider true repentance and conversion.

Working out our salvation does not mean earning it by our own strength. We live out the salvation already received because God Himself is at work within us.

True conversion means grieving over sin and putting the old nature to death, while also finding heartfelt joy in God through Christ. Good works flow from true faith, follow Christ’s example, and seek God’s glory. They are not the foundation of salvation, but its fruit.

🌿 Sunday Worship – Bethel Canadian Reformed Church 🌿

We look forward to gathering as God’s family this Sunday to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In a world filled with countless voices offering answers about truth, meaning, identity, and hope, God graciously calls us to hear His Word. Through that Word, He brings us to faith in Jesus Christ and renews us by His Spirit to live lives of gratitude, love, and good works.

“King Jesus Makes His Straight Way Known, Even When Deceivers Try to Twist It”
Scripture: Acts 13:4–12

This Sunday morning, we will see how King Jesus sends His Word into the world and preserves its truth even when others try to distort it. Sergius Paulus wanted to hear the Word of God, but Elymas sought to turn him away from the faith. Yet Christ exposed what was false and brought the proconsul to faith.

We too live surrounded by many voices promising wisdom, peace, identity, and spiritual answers. How can we know what is true? God calls us to hear His Word, where Christ makes His way of salvation known.

During the morning service, we will also have the joy of witnessing the baptism of Theodore Costa Ferreira, as God gives the sign and seal of His covenant promises.

“Christ Redeems Us by Grace and Renews Us for Grateful Good Works”
Heidelberg Catechism: Lord’s Day 32

In the afternoon, we will consider why Christians do good works. We are not saved because of our repentance, obedience, or good works. We are saved entirely by grace through Jesus Christ. Yet the same Christ who redeems us also renews us by His Spirit.

Good works are the fruit of salvation, our grateful praise to God, and a blessing to us and our neighbours. Through ordinary acts of love, generosity, forgiveness, service, and faithfulness, the renewed life of Christ becomes visible in the world.
