In the Bible, the "old" and the "new" intertwine to form an eternal thread. The Old Testament is God's promise, and the New Testament is the fulfillment of that promise; the old is a shadow, the new is light. In the old days, we may have struggled under the law, but in the new grace, we find freedom in love. The past year flows away like water, carrying regrets and weariness, while the new year dawns like the morning light, bringing hope and renewal. As the Bible says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come."
At this moment of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, may we lay down the burdens of the past and embrace a fresh start. In His grace, let us set out anew and walk toward a more abundant life. The new year is not just a change of time but also a renewal of the soul.
