Wednesday, June 10th was Pastor Kim Sherwin‘s 25th anniversary of ordination - along with the anniversary of her confirmation and first induction! Pastor Karen and other area clergy celebrated this milestone with Pastor Kim at a potluck BBQ in Yorkton. We also welcomed a new colleague in ministry: Pastor Siyelusiwe Msevenzi, who will soon begin serving Peace Parkland Parish in Churchbridge and Langenburg.

On June 12th and 13th, Pastor Karen was able to participate in a reunion celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Stephen‘s Ministry program in Saskatoon. She received her training as a caregiver at Zion Saskatoon in 2001. Bishop Ali Tote was the keynote speaker at the banquet, where a new banner, celebrating the anniversary, was unveiled. It was designed by Margaret Fast.

Thank you to our siblings in Christ from Lemberg, Neudorf, Melville, and Yorkton who partnered with us to create 128 sun catchers - one for every resident at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville - and leave behind cookies for the 256 staff. Special thanks to Pastor Kim Sherwin, Pastor Ron Shumba, and St. Paul Lutheran Home chaplain Pastor Dawn Myrfield, who joined the residents on Sunday, May 31st for a time of worship and fellowship.
