After attending today's combined Rainbow Worship and Easter Sunday service this morning. I wanted to extend a heartfelt shoutout to TSA - Rainbow Worship Service (Trinity St Andrew's United Church here in Renfrew.) A community that truly walks the talk when it comes to love, kindness, and inclusion. 💛

In a world that can sometimes feel divided, it means so much to see a space where people are welcomed exactly as they are, no conditions, no expectations, just genuine care and respect. Whether someone is full of faith, questioning, or simply looking for connection, that openness makes a real difference.

It didn’t go unnoticed that even in a difficult moment, when some chose to get up and leave. You continued to stand firm in your message of love and inclusion for the 2SLGBTQIA community. That kind of courage and compassion speaks volumes.

Thank you for creating a place where compassion leads, where everyone has a seat, and where love shows up in real, meaningful ways. The impact of that kind of acceptance reaches farther than you know. 🌈

Finishing off our "meet the team" segment is Lisa P. (She/her) our other co-lead in Renfrew.

​Hey there! I'm a proud mom of two amazing figure skaters, and if you know anything about figure skating, you know that means a lot of early mornings and glitter! When I'm not cheering them on at the rink, I'm a passionate advocate for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I'm looking forward to becoming more involved with pflag, working to support and celebrate families just like mine. I came out when I was 27, when I met my (soon to be) wife, and it was a truly transformative experience. Living in a small town, I really value connection and building a supportive community. I believe everyone deserves to feel loved and accepted for exactly who they are. So, that's me in a nutshell! Always happy to connect with fellow skaters, 2SLGBTQIA+ friends and allies, and anyone who believes in the power of kindness. ❤️🌈

Happiness is National Affirming/PIE Day!

Today is National Affirming/PIE Day!
This day was co-founded by Affirm United/S'affirmer Ensemble and Affirming Connections to set aside a special day every year to celebrate the full inclusion of LGBTQ2SIA+ people in faith communities and beyond.
