This year, a new festival was added to the church year called "Feast of Creation." This feast day is "to celebrate... God's act of Creation as a foundational mystery of faith" (World Council of Churches). We will celebrate Feast of Creation this Sunday, Sept. 6 at our child-friendly worship service. This service has the usual elements of worship using child-friendly language and approaches, including an interactive message where the children will be invited to the front. Anyone heading back to school is invited to bring a backpack for our backpack blessing. We hope you can join us this Sunday at 11am!

Registration for Sunday School 2026-2027 is open online! Classes take place during Sunday morning worship typically three Sundays per month (Sept.-June) and are open to children ages 3 - 11. Sunday School will begin on September 13 during 11am worship. This fall, our monthly young adult Bible study & supper is beginning a new series on King David! These monthly gatherings are opportunities to read scripture with other young adults (post-high school age, ~20s & 30s), exploring together what these ancient texts may mean for our lives today. No homework or advance study required! These gatherings are free to attend and open to all. We have attendees from different congregations and denominations around the city, and we value the opportunity to support our young adult community of faith! Registration for confirmation classes is now open online: https://forms.gle/ymxR7GU1C7aeXLqG7 Confirmation is a two-year program for youth, typically in grades seven and eight, with classes two Wednesdays per month. The purpose of the confirmation program is to provide youth with an intentional opportunity to learn more about our faith and thereby to confirm their faith. Another way to describe this is to say that they are invited to affirm their baptism, that is, to affirm their desire to continue to grow in their faith and to grow closer in relationship with God, supported by their faith family--the church. This year our focus will be on the Bible, exploring the key stories and teachings of our faith through our sacred scriptures. Christ Lutheran Church is thrilled to host the 2nd Annual Gospel night featuring Saskatchewan’s own Rory Allen! “Don’t be Cruel” and miss out on this musical event! Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., doors open at 6:00 p.m. Rory will be performing gospel favorites coupled with some flavor of well-known Rock n’ Roll hits. It’s “Now or Never” to secure your spot! Tickets are available for purchase starting on August 16th. You can contact the office by phone (306) 352-4832 or email ([email protected]). Tickets are $20.00 (12 & under are free) and seating is first come, first served. Proof of ticket purchase is required for entry. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. We promise you won’t be checking into “Heartbreak Hotel” once you experience this “Amazing Grace” of music and community – so come get “All Shook Up” and let the good times roll!
