🍂 Thanksgiving Sunday | October 11 🍂

This Thanksgiving Sunday, we pause to reflect on and give thanks to God for ALL His blessings — both the temporal blessings we experience each day, like food, clothing, home, and work, and the spiritual blessings we have through Christ: forgiveness, peace, hope, and grace 🙏

But this year, we want to take our ThanksGiving one step further — turning our gratitude to God into ThanksLiving toward our neighbours

On October 11, we invite you to bring extra garden produce or non-perishable grocery items to church. We will gather these gifts at the front of the church as a symbol of our gratitude to God, and then share them with our local Food Bank to help meet the needs of our neighbours.

A simple way to give thanks, share our blessings, and live out our faith. Please join us in making this Thanksgiving a meaningful expression of gratitude and generosity.

Bring what you can. Give thanks. Share generously. Live thankfully

Thank you for being part of this special offering of ThanksLiving! 🙏

🎉 Kids for Christ is BACK! 💛

We’re excited to welcome all our little ones back for Sunday School! 🙌📖

It's a place where children can learn about Jesus, grow in faith, make friends, and have fun. Parents, bring your children and let’s help them grow in God’s love, one Sunday at a time! 💒❤️

We can’t wait to see all our KFC kids again! 🎉

This week's verse is from 2 Corinthians 10:5

Not every thought deserves your agreement. Take every fear, doubt, distraction, and lie captive, and bring it under the truth of Christ ✝️

This week, choose to guard your mind, renew your thoughts, and let God’s truth have the final say 🤍

What are you choosing to surrender to Christ this week?

This Sunday, we journey with Paul in his letter to the Philippians as he reminds us to keep pressing forward, leaving behind what is past and reaching toward what lies ahead 🙏✨

📖 Scripture Readings:
• Matthew 21:33–46
• Isaiah 5:1–7
• Philippians 3:4b–14

Theme: “Paul to the Philippians: Onward and Upward”

Whatever the road behind us may hold, Christ calls us to keep moving forward in faith, growing in grace, and pressing toward the goal.

Come worship with us this Sunday as we reflect, renew, and move onward and upward together.

This week's verse is from Ecclesiastes 3:1–2, reminding us that there is a season for everything under heaven. Life is made up of different seasons, and while we may not always understand why things happen when they do, we can trust that God is present through every one of them.

As we move through the changing seasons of life, may we learn to embrace each moment, trust God’s timing, and remain faithful to Him through every season.

Have a blessed week.

NBLC Through the Years ✨

Today, we’re taking a look back at a special moment in NBLC’s history: Pastor Bruce Corson’s installation as pastor of New Beginnings Lutheran Church on August 25, 2002.

This installation bulletin marks the beginning of Pastor Bruce’s ministry at NBLC and is a meaningful reminder of the pastors, leaders, and members God has brought together throughout our church’s journey.

As we celebrate 25 years of NBLC, we give thanks for the people and moments that have helped shape our church family and for God’s faithfulness through every season.

Were you part of NBLC when Pastor Bruce was installed? Do you remember this day?

This week's verse is from Lamentations 3:22–23, reminding us that God’s love never fails and His mercies are renewed every morning. No matter what yesterday looked like or what challenges we may be facing today, we can begin each new day with confidence in God’s faithfulness. His grace gives us hope, His compassion sustains us, and His promises remain constant.

May we start each day with grateful hearts, trusting in the God whose faithfulness is always new.

Have a blessed week.
