June 7, 2026 - The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, we are drawn into one of the most profound teachings of Jesus Christ:

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven."

These words are not symbolic alone but are deeply personal and real. Jesus does not simply give something; He gives Himself. In the Eucharist, Christ becomes our nourishment, sustaining us with His very life.

This is a gift that goes beyond understanding. It is meant to be received. Nourished by the Eucharist, we are sent to become what we receive which is the Body of Christ in the world. The love we encounter at the altar is meant to be lived out in our daily lives, especially in service, generosity, and care for others.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from you.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me and bid me come to you.
That, with your saints, I may praise you.
Forever and ever.
Amen.

June 7, 2026 - The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)

"Because there is one bread, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one bread." -- 1 Corinthians 10:17

As disciples of Jesus, we are called to lead holy lives and invite others to join us. We are called to be fed and to feed others.

Living a stewardship lifestyle, being grateful and generous with our gifts serves a twofold purpose. One, it helps build God's kingdom here on earth. Two, it helps us strengthen each other's relationship with God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

It becomes our roadmap to Heaven. Let's help each other get there!

Let us pray that sports be an instrument of peace, encounter and dialogue among cultures and nations, and that they promote values such as respect, solidarity and personal growth.

The Interchurch Sandwich Project is an initiative that brings together churches of different denominations from across Regina to provide a healthy lunch every Saturday to people in need.

We gather in the morning to make the sandwiches in the First Baptist Church's kitchen. Lunch bags are packed with a sandwich, fruit, cheese, and juice box.

Once the doors are opened, we distribute approximately 200 lunch bags to the guests, and we visit with them as well. It is a very worthy hands-on project, and we learn so much about the less fortunate people in Regina.

Our parish volunteers for 2-3 lunches each year, and our next upcoming date will be November 21. We have an ongoing collection for those who wish to make a financial contribution to this program.

If you wish to donate, you can drop your envelope in the collection basket at Mass, at the parish office, or by e-transfer to [email protected]

On Sunday, we celebrated the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity

The Sign of the Cross is the very heart of the Mystery of our Faith. We, as Catholics, use it at the beginning of each new day and at the close of every day, acknowledging that we belong to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is a prayer in itself and the very first prayer that we teach our children.

As you make the Sign of the Cross this week with your family, remember that the communion of life and love which exist in the Trinity also exists within you and your family.
