Read along with the audio from the June 14th Sermon. Pastors Chriti and Giese were both away at the Lutheran Church Canada Convention and in their absence the congregation had two of their Elders Brett Pelzer and Rocky Campbell assist with the Service. Brett lead the 9 and 11am (non-communion Services) and Rocky delivered a sermon prepared by Pastor Giese. An unusual Sunday at Mount Olive. With Pastors Giese and Christi away in Winnipeg for the Lutheran Church Canada Synod Convention two of our Elders led the Service. Rocky Campbell delivered a sermon written by Pastor Giese and Brett Pelzer was the liturgist for the day. From all accounts they did great! There was no Communion as they are not ordained. Next Sunday the Lord’s supper will resume.

Our Regional Pastor for Central Region, Pastor David Haberstock has been elected Lutheran Church Canada Synod President, and Pastor Ted Giese has been elected Synod Vice President. The Lord bless them in their future work. Thanks be to God.

On the morning of June 13, Lutheran Church–Canada elected Rev. David Haberstock to serve as the church’s new synodical president and Rev. Ted Giese as vice-president.
