Congratulations Most Reverend Michael Kwiatkowski on your appointment as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg!

It has been announced on July 9, 2026 that His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of the Most Rev. Lawrence Huculak, O.S.B.M., Metropolitan Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg, upon his reaching the age of 75. On the same day, His Holiness appointed the Most Rev. Michael Kwiatkowski, heretofore the Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of New Westminster, as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg. The date of his installation will be announced as soon as it is determined.

We are thrilled that our former pastor will be our Metropolitan Archbishop! Many blessings be upon him!

This was at The Saskatchewan Prayer Breakfast held at CONEXUS ARTS CENTRE on Wednesday April 29th, 2026. Theses four UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC BROTHERHOOD members from St Basils Branch, Regina have been attending this function annually. This years main attraction featured former Saskatchewan Roughrider Derrick Moncrief and his wife Kasia as guest speakers. The event aimed to bring leaders and the public together for faith-based prayer and encouragement.
