A rainy day reminder from your church family:

God is still at work in the ordinary moments. In the conversations over coffee, the quiet prayers, and the small acts of kindness, His grace is present.

Praying that you experience His peace and encouragement today.

Join us for a special Lunch & Learn with Dan and Kerry Wiens on Sunday, June 7 at 12:30pm in the Trestle Room! Before the event, you’re invited to grab lunch at Soup’s On and bring it with you as we gather to hear from Dan and Kerry and learn more about the work God is doing in Africa through Inundo Development.

In 2010, Dan and Kerry left their ministry at Centre Street Church in Calgary after feeling called by God to serve in Africa. There, they founded Inundo Development — a model farm that teaches sustainable and profitable farming practices that help transform communities from survival to true development.

Through their work, families are seeing barren land restored, crops flourish, and hope renewed. But even more than farming, their ministry is about sharing the tangible love of Jesus in everyday life.

Come hear powerful stories of faith, compassion, prayer, and transformation as Dan and Kerry share what God has been doing over the last decade in Africa — and how lives and communities are being changed through practical care and the hope of the Gospel.

We’d love for you to join us for this meaningful afternoon of learning, encouragement, and connection.

2 Corinthians 3:17 says, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

Whatever this week has held for you, you don’t have to carry it alone. God’s presence brings peace in the middle of chaos, hope in difficult moments, and freedom from the weight we were never meant to hold by ourselves.

Freedom in Jesus doesn’t mean life is perfect - it means you’re loved, seen, and never without Him.

Today, may you be reminded that where His Spirit is, there is freedom, peace, strength, and grace for every step ahead.

Taste of Nations is coming soon!

As a church family, we’re blessed to be made up of people from many different countries and cultures, and we want to take time to celebrate that together. After Soup’s On on Sunday, June 7, join us in the Gym after the 11am service as we share food from around the world, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate the creativity of God seen through every culture represented in our community.

This is more than just a meal: it’s a chance to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the diversity of God’s family at CrossRoads, and we’d love you to be part of it! If you have a favourite ethnic dish, consider bringing it to share and help make this a true Taste of Nations.

To participate, contact Sam at [email protected].

Pastor Dan Cochrane reminded us that God’s heart is for the nations: and we all have a part to play. While not everyone is called to go overseas, we are all called to care.

This Sunday, we were challenged to lift our eyes higher and see the people Jesus sees: the billions around the world who have little to no access to the gospel. People who may never have heard the name of Jesus, never seen a church, and never had the opportunity to hear the hope of the gospel.

Pastor Dan shared practical ways we can respond:

• Get informed: learn about the unreached and what’s happening around the world.
• Pray: Jesus said to pray for workers to be sent into the harvest.
• Give generously: supporting missions helps bring the gospel to places where access is limited.
• Pour into the next generation: modeling what it means to truly follow Jesus and care about the things He cares about.
• Keep the vision for the nations alive: not losing sight of God’s heart for the world.
• Reach the nations around us: many people from unreached nations are already in our communities.

“The gospel was never meant to stop with us.” God’s heart has always been for the world, and we’re invited to be part of what He’s doing.

Yesterday, our Communications teams had the opportunity to gather with Centre Street Church from Calgary for a day of connection, learning, support, and encouragement here at CrossRoads.

We’re thankful for opportunities like this to share ideas, learn from one another, and be reminded that we’re all part of something bigger than ourselves. Grateful for the conversations, encouragement, and time spent together!
