Camp Pagweak is a Baptist Youth Camp located in Pugwash, Nova Scotia It is owned by 31 churches in the Cumberland, Colchester-Pictou Associations.

"Pagweak" is taken from the word "Pugwash" which is Mi'Kmaq for "Deep Water" and "Shallow Water"

Camp Pagweak is located in West Pugwash off of Highway 6.

A glimpse into summer 2026

With the summer season drawing to a close, it's only fitting that we take a moment to celebrate the ones we couldn't have done it without!

To the 23 staff and 9 Vantage Crew members we had this year: what a blessing it has been to witness the love of Christ abundantly displayed through you and your work this summer. Whether you were preparing meals in the kitchen, working behind the scenes, or spending each day journeying alongside our campers, you gave your absolute best every time. You sacrificed for others, cared for your fellow team members, and the world will never be the same because of how you loved and served.

As you return home, enjoy some much-deserved rest, know that we are cheering you on as you step into the next season, and we hope to see you again next summer!

We may not have the words to fully express how thankful we are for this team, and they may never know just how many people were praying for them, encouraging them, and supporting them throughout this summer. So, would you help us in saying a big “THANK YOU” for all they’ve done this summer?

What a summer it has been at Camp Pagweak!

This week marked our final week of summer 2026, as we welcomed our Apex campers onto the property for an Olympics-themed week filled with friendship, competition, laughter, and plenty of new experiences.

Throughout the week, campers had countless opportunities to grow, step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and make memories that we hope they’ll carry with them long after leaving camp. From Praise Craze and chapel to campfires, cabin conversations, and camper-led discussions, they were reminded of who God is and how deeply He loves each of them.

We are so thankful for every camper who joined us this summer and for the incredible memories made along the way. As we close out summer 2026, we’re already excited to see what the Lord has in store.

What an amazing week it has been here at Camp Pagweak!

This was our mini week of camp, but it was filled with so many amazing moments and memories. On Monday, we welcomed our second Trailblazer group of the summer, welcoming campers ages 7–10 onto the property for a week full of new experiences, friendships, and adventures.

Throughout the week, campers had the opportunity to step into new challenges, try things they may have never done before, and immerse themselves in everything camp has to offer. Later in the week, they were given an opportunity to choose some of their favourite parts of camp and return to them.

We were also so blessed to welcome Leah Hobbs as our camp pastor this week. Leah led interactive Bible lessons, helped campers learn Bible verses to memorize, and created a space where campers felt comfortable asking questions and exploring their faith. It was amazing to see campers engage, grow, and continue learning more about God throughout the week.

It has been another incredible week here at Camp Pagweak, and we are so thankful for the joy, laughter, and memories that filled the property. As we head into our final week of camp, we continue to welcome your prayers and support for our staff, campers, and all that is still to come.

We are so excited for one more amazing week together and can’t wait to see what God has in store!

Our hearts are so full after another incredible week at Camp Pagweak!

This week, we had the privilege of welcoming our second Voyager camp of the summer. It was a week filled with laughter, adventure, and new friendships. Together, we dug into God's Word, encouraged one another, and experienced what it means to build a strong, Christ-centered community.

None of this would be possible without our amazing staff, who pour so much love, energy, and care into every camper each and every day. Thank you for making Camp Pagweak such a special place!

We're also incredibly grateful to Pastor Andy Scott from Cornerstone Baptist Church in New Brunswick for spending the week with us. Thank you for faithfully sharing God's Word with our campers and for encouraging and investing in both our staff and Vantage crew. Your ministry made a lasting impact.

It's hard to believe we only have two weeks left of Summer 2026! Thank you for continuing to pray for our campers, our staff, and the weeks ahead. We are so grateful for the support and prayers that surround Camp Pagweak, and we know the Lord is continuing to do amazing things. The best is yet to come!
