That’s a wrap on Light Up the Night! 🎆🍬✨
What an incredible evening together! Thank you to everyone who came out!

A huge thank you to our more than 60 volunteers who made tonight happen. From those welcoming families and passing out candy, to our amazing Westside Academy students who carved/painted pumpkins for our display and the students who ran all the carnival games tonight, to the teams serving food and keeping things running smoothly, and everyone who stayed late to clean up. Thank you to our music and sound team for creating an incredible atmosphere and supporting the firework show and event flow so well. And a special thank you to the crew behind that incredible firework display… What a show tonight!

Thank you as well to everyone who donated candy for our candy drive. Because of your generosity, we were able to pass out more than 16,000 treats tonight.

We love our city. We love our church and school. And we are grateful for every single person who helped make tonight so special.

Follow Your Box is now available in Canada! 🇨🇦 If you haven’t already yet, pick up your shoebox this Sunday after the service in the foyer.

Every box is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus in a very real and personal way. ❤️

Our 2025 firework display will run just over 10 minutes with music hand-picked by Westside Academy students.

Light Up The Night kicks off at 5:30 PM on October 31. It’s free for everyone — bring your friends, grab a hot dog, enjoy the games and candy, and end the night watching the sky light up.

🎆 Just coming for the fireworks? The show starts at 8 PM
🚗 Parking: Limited spaces on campus — please plan ahead if you’ll need to park and walk in.
📍 Best viewing: From the main campus field (parking-lot viewing is restricted).

Light of the Night is back and we’re throwing an evening you’ll actually want to bundle up for!

We’re lighting up the grounds on Friday, October 31st starting at 5:30 PM at Westside Family Fellowship. And at 8:00 PM, the sky will light up with a 10-minute fireworks extravaganza, a highlight our community looks forward to every year.

The atmosphere feels alive, warm, and welcoming, the kind of night people remember.

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Pastor Arlo stepped into eternity at the age of 92. We give thanks for a life well lived, a life marked by devotion, humble service, and a deep love for God and His church. His leadership helped launch several ministries that continue to impact lives today. These include missions in Sri Lanka and Kenya, the New Life Centre, the Prince George Healing Rooms, and the Emmaus House seniors' support home.

Whether you knew him personally or were shaped by the ministries he helped establish, this gathering will be a meaningful time to reflect, remember, and give thanks for the legacy of a faithful servant.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

With both sadness and joy, we share that Arlo Johnson, the founding Pastor of Westside Family Fellowship, passed away on Wednesday, August 6th, at the age of 92. We are saddened because we will deeply miss his Godly wisdom and friendship, yet we are joyful in knowing that he is now in the presence of Jesus. Details about the memorial service will be shared as soon as they are available.
