Sometimes we can begin to believe that our successes belong to us alone. While it is good to acknowledge the effort and diligence that God enables us to give, we must never forget that every opportunity, ability, and blessing comes from Him. As 1 Corinthians 4:7 reminds us, "What do you have that you did not receive?"

This Friday, let us come together in humble prayer, giving God the honor He deserves and recognizing that all we have and all we accomplish are gifts of His grace. May our lives continually point others back to Him.

Sing to the Lord our God and King
Our source, our strength, our everything
In Him we live and move and breathe
In His purpose our lives will succeed

Worship is not in comfort, ease, or gain
It is that God is good, in sunshine and rain

Our hearts find rest within His will
In His hands we trust and remain still

Share the glory of His name
Do not keep silent or be ashamed
A heart transformed by saving grace
will overflow with a heart of praise

Tell of the wonders He has done
Share the lovingkindness of His Son
Someone around you is searching for hope
You need to share the lifesaving rope

See beyond headlines, troubles, and trials
Our King is coming to bring us smiles

Suffering will not last forever, evil will lose
Eternity is all about what you choose
For those who worship well today
will be ready to welcome the King one day
