This past week as citizens of Canada we celebrated the 153rd birthday of our country. As a follower of Jesus Christ, we are also citizens of the Kingdom of God and are challenged daily to live out our faith in a way that brings honour and glory to God. Andrew Whitworth wrote: "The Christian story, the story of God's redemption of the world through the person of Jesus and the work of the Spirit, forms us toward a different way of life."
Canada is a diverse country and we are challenged to live out our faith in ways that adhere to one of the "most important" commandments. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" and "love your neighbour as yourself". (Mark 12:29-31)
