The purpose of the weekend will be to expose young men to an experience of contemplative life and to take some time away with God to discern His will. We will join the Benedictine monks for the sung hours of prayer (in Gregorian chant). We will have texts to read and discussion. There will be daily mass and confession available. The cost is $80 for the weekend. We will coordinate rides together leaving from North Bay, Peterborough, and Pembroke. We will drive down the Friday morning and return the Sunday night. Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed:
Wednesday September 16 at 11 am @ St. John’s Alsace. 3352 Alsace Road
The parish community will celebrate a special Mass for all the souls in purgatory buried at St. John’s Cemetery, Alsace. Mass will be in the Church followed by a Rosary/prayers at the cemetery.

The Annual Mass for the Holy Souls in Purgatory took place at Sacred Heart Cemetery this week. Fr. Isaac, from Sacred Heart Parish, Trout Creek, reminded us of the importance of praying for our deceased loved ones. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

The walking pilgrims continue! They will be entering Britt today to venerate the relics of the Holy Canadian Martyrs. The oldest pilgrim to participate in some of the walk was 80 years old and the youngest was 9 weeks old. This year marks the 400 year anniversary of St. Jean de Brebeouf's travel into this area.
