John the Apostle is a welcoming and inclusive Christian community at the heart of Port Moody
dedicated to prayer, spiritual growth, and service. We currently offer 2 Sunday services of Holy Eucharist - in-person at 8:30am and hybrid (in-person and Zoom) at 10am (http://www.stja.ca/2022/program-updates/ for more info).
8:30am is a smaller, Quiet Service with no music. 10:00am is a larger Family
Service, with music and (usually) on the last Sunday of each month a children's program. We gather weekly on Sundays for worship and throughout the week, discussing life's journey and how we can use our gifts in ministry in the church and in the world. We also acknowledge with gratitude and humility that St. Johnβs is located on land that is traditional territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. We are grateful for the heritage of the Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, Kwikwetlem and Musqueam Nations, and along with others in the Diocese of New Westminster, we continue to search and pray with Indigenous brothers, sisters, and friends for truth, justice and reconciliation.
