As-Salaamu-alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh,

We have recently been informed of the official decision and announcement of the the High Judiciary Council of the Two Sacred Mosques of Makkah and Madeenah that we shall be completing twenty nine (29) days of Sha'baan (1445 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam): "Fast when you see the crescent.
If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha'baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days"
[transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

Consequently, we shall be starting our taraaweeh prayers TONIGHT (Sunday 10th of March, 2024) after the 'Ishaa prayer (8:40 PM), in preparation for the first fast of Ramadan on Monday 11th of March, 2024, inshaAllah.

May Allah allow us to reap the fruits of this blessed month. Aameen

Imam Shabaz has just informed us that he is sick with the flu today and will not be able to make it for the Halaqa.

In shaa Allah we will send out a message with a new date.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

May Allah cure the Imam In shaa Allah so he can be with us soon.

As-Salaamu Alaykum dear brothers and sisters

In shaa Allah Eid-Al-Adha wil be on Saturday July 9th 2022.

The Eid prayer will take place in the Musallah parking lot. Please arrive by 6:45AM, and the prayer will commence at 7:00AM in-shaa-Allah.

Please bring your prayer mats and chairs for sitting for your convenience, tarps will be provided.

Ample parking is available across the street at a designated parking lot. Please note that street parking along Esplanade Street is reserved for boat trailers, parking along that area may attract a ticket from bylaw officers.

A map showing the prayer and parking area is attached. Please note, there is additional parking at Rocky Point Park or at the Boathouse Restaurant which is located at a 2 minute walking distance from the Musallah.

We would like to inform you of the news of the official decision and announcement of the the High Judiciary Council of the Two Sacred Mosques of Makkah and Madeenah.
We shall be completing thirty (30) days of Sha'baan (1442 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam): "Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha'baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days" [transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].

Consequently the first day of fasting for Ramadan will be on Tuesday 13 April, 2021, InshaAllah.

May Allah make this Ramadan successful for all Muslims worldwide, and allow us to reap its fruits.
