Here’s a live update we just received from our team in Chiapas yesterday:
We are five days into our time in Chiapas, Mexico, a region Rail City Campus has partnered with for several years. Our team has experienced many meaningful highlights, along with a few challenges, mostly involving an old van.
We have partnered with two local churches, one in Tapachula and one in Bella Vista, ministering to couples, children, youth, young adults, and women. The response has been encouraging and receptive.
A special highlight was connecting with civil engineering students through a young woman from the Bella Vista church who is being discipled by Pastor Brenda. As she courageously reaches out to her classmates, we had the opportunity one evening in Tapachula to share about Christ with them.
Another highlight was a youth night that included both church youth and students invited from the local park. Our youngest team member shared a message, and it was a meaningful evening.
In the coming days, we will minister to men, train 20 local pastors, encourage their wives, and assist with church construction in Frontera Comalapa.
