CWL R3:1 Unity Regain, Recruit, Retain

Last Saturday, May 30, 2026, I had the privilege of attending the CWL R3:1 Unity gathering. It was centered on the theme, “Regain, Recruit, Retain.” It was inspiring to see such a wonderful turnout and the active participation from different councils.

The discussions, shared experiences, and best practices reminded us of the importance of welcoming new members, nurturing those who are currently active, and reconnecting with those who may have drifted away. Together, we reflected on how we can strengthen our councils and continue living out the mission of the Catholic Women’s League through faith, service, and social justice.

As Saint Mother Teresa beautifully said,
“I can do things you cannot;
you can do things I cannot;
together we can do great things.”

This gathering was a testament to that spirit of unity,collaboration, and sisterhood. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired by fellow CWL sisters. My hope is that this event will deepen our dedication to the League, renew our commitment to service, and encourage us to continue building vibrant and welcoming councils for years to come.

Together, let us Regain, Recruit, Retain, and strengthening our League 1 heart at a time…

Our November GM will be a very special time for all of us to remember our deceased sisters in Christ and all the souls in Purgatory. We will also make Advent wreaths together. Please join us on Tuesday night!

To encourage spiritual reading, we will exchange Catholic books one another. Please bring one Catholic book you want to recommend to others.

On September 21st, the 'Walk, Ride or Run for Life 2024' fundrasing event will be held at Lions Park in Poco sponsored by Life Compass Society. Please join us to show our community how much we support the vulnerable and to teach the new generation how valuable human dignity is. Registration starts at 9 am.

OLA CWL Council supports various organizations for social justice and community welfare. Pregnancy Concerns is one of our community partners to support pregnant women, new born babies & new moms and dads. We are joining their fundraising campaign this year which is called ‘Pregnancy Concerns Operation Baby Bottle’.
