Charles Spurgeon wisely observed, "Ten minutes' praying is better than a year's murmuring." How often do we spend more time complaining about our circumstances than bringing them before God?

Complaining magnifies our problems, but prayer magnifies our God. Murmuring reveals a heart focused on circumstances; prayer reveals a heart that trusts God's sovereignty. Scripture urges us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6).

Prayer may not immediately change our circumstances, but it always changes us. It strengthens our faith, quiets our fears, and reminds us that our Heavenly Father is in complete control.

Instead of grumbling, pray. Instead of worrying, trust. The God who hears your prayers is greater than every burden you carry.
