What is your definition of power?

The kind of power the Holy Spirit gives us contrasts the powers of our world.

Pentecost power is intricately connected to how God works in and the through the cross and resurrection, repentance and forgiveness (Luke 24:44-49)

"...to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,..." (Eph 3:20)

Pentecost Sunday reminded us that Jesus sent the Spirit, promised by the Father, to cloth us with power for life and mission.

Take a moment to read through Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8, asking God to reveal his heart for you in this.

Often a simple prayer like "welcome Holy Spirit" can help us make room for a fresh encounter with or guidance from the Holy Spirit.
