Sharing this wonderful announcement from the parishioners of Holy Redeemer Parish in Trepassey. Father Peter Golden is certainly no stranger to the Placentia area. Many will remember that he served as Administrator of Most Holy Rosary Parish in Freshwater during the early 1980s, where he touched the lives of so many with his kindness, compassion, and dedicated ministry.
Congratulations to Father Peter as he prepares to celebrate his 90th birthday! Wishing him continued good health and many blessings as family, friends, and parishioners come together to celebrate this remarkable milestone. Happy 90th Birthday, Father Peter!
Heavenly Father,
With hearts full of gratitude, we thank You for the precious gift of Father Peter Golden. As he prepares to celebrate his 90th birthday, we praise You for the many years You have blessed him with and for the countless lives he has touched through his faithful service as a priest.
Lord, thank You for calling him to the priesthood and for giving him the grace to answer that call with humility, compassion, and unwavering faith. Through his words, his example, and his ministry, he has shared Your love, celebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, proclaimed Your Gospel, forgiven sins, comforted the grieving, and guided so many souls closer to You.
We ask that You continue to surround Father Peter with Your peace, strength, and joy. Bless him with good health, comfort, and the knowledge that his life of faithful service has borne abundant fruit. May he always feel the love and appreciation of the people whose lives he has enriched throughout his ministry, especially the communities he has served.
As he reaches this remarkable milestone, may the Blessed Virgin Mary keep him under her loving mantle, may St. John Vianney, patron saint of parish priests, intercede for him, and may Your Holy Spirit continue to fill his heart with hope and peace.
