We had a fun time tonight!!!
We learned about Queen Esther who was an orphan and raised by her cousin and went from nothing to living in the Palace and being Queen and then her cousin joined her! She let her Light for Jesus shine! She was nervous but God took care of her!
We enjoyed some sweet treats and enjoyed our little visitors!!
Baby animals/pets can be like an orphan…you help it by feeding and caring for it and loving it!

This week we learned about David!!
A kid with lots of siblings & he was the baby brother.

No one thought he could become king because of his age. But God had bigger plans than anyone could imagine!!

He started out by tending sheep in his father’s fields while his older brothers had “older” responsibilities.

After he was anointed- chosen by God - and told he would be next king, he continued to live his life for God while he was waiting his turn for king.

He learned how to take care of sheep and protect them…which in turn…taught him how to care for God’s people.

He faced Goliath when no one else would! He was small, and people thought he was crazy for going to Goliath in the battlefield- with only a STONE & Slingshot!!
But our God is bigger than our enemies and our situation! We just have to trust Him and
BE OUR BEST WHATEVER OUR AGE!
No matter our kids age, they all helped with making snack this week - FLOATS!!!

Last week we learned about Samuel - a foster child.
He grew up with Pastor Elijah and even though he missed his bio family he served in his church and community with a smile 😊- no matter the situation. Elijah’s own sons were mean to Samuel but he continued to serve with a smile. ☺️ When he grew up, God was well pleased with him serving with a smile through all he had been through and God made him a great leader and preacher!

Tonight was our first night of our new theme!!
We learned about Moses!
Saved for a Purpose!
Saved from the river by Pharaoh’s daughter - he was adopted into Pharaoh’s family.
And later grew up to fulfill God’s purpose for his life! To lead the slaves (Moses birth people/nation) to freedom!!
We also learned that we can grow under pressure!! We enjoyed making and eating our visual!! Waffles 🧇 🙂

It’s been a great theme!! Learning about becoming crime stoppers!!!
Both in our community- following the laws and obeying them!!
And in our walk with God - making sure we are following what God’s law - the Bible teaches.

We had lots of fun and in the end we even were able to have a tour of our local OPP Detachment led by Cst Harris! She was great informing us what our officers do in their daily jobs!! We are so thankful for them as they continue to fight crime and keep us all safe!!

Lesson #11: Honesty is the best policy!
We learned that being honest is so much easier than telling lies. When we lie, it's hard to keep our stories straight. But if we are honest and tell the truth, the truth never lies and we don't have to worry about which story we told someone. If it's truth, it will stay the same.
