Welcome to September! The time when all of our regular church ministries jump back into full swing after the summer break.

Pastor David and his family are back from there trip to Guatemala. We should give thanks to God for protecting them in a part of the world where safety that we take for granted does not exist.

This Sunday, pastor David will be preaching. The sermon is based on the story of The Bronze Serpent found in Numbers 21 and also referred to in John 3:14-17.

I hope everyone will feel welcome to come and worship with us on Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Remember that God loves you.

I hope all of you are enjoying the beautiful weather. we are so blessed to live where we do.

I think we should all be in prayer for various places around world where there have been devastating natural events. In the last three months alone, there have been 7 earthquakes of magnitude 7 or greater. (Philipines, Venezuela (2), Mexico, Colombia, Indonesia and Guatemala) Then yesterday, in Nepal, a catastrophic glacial collapse, causing flash floods and mudslides happened.

This Sunday, pastor Mackenzie will be preaching as Pastor David and his family are in Guatemala. (They were not affected by the earthquake) His sermon will be about being peacemakers. (Maybe some of our world leaders should be here) It is based on 1 Samuel 25: 1- 44.

The service starts at 10:30 am and everyone is welcome to come.

Well I am back after 8 weeks of holidays. My wife and I spent a week up in Niagara falls and had a great time. I have also been enjoying riding my two motorcycles and with God's protection, I have no injuries, cuts or scrapes.

I would look to thank Grace Woodworth for everything she did in the office while I was away.

We should constantly keep the Woodworth family in our prayers as they are in Guatemala for the next 10 days with Oliver competing for team Canada at the PanAm Games. If you know anything about Guatemala, it is not the safest place to be.

We should also keep those areas that have been devastated by massive earthquakes.

Please also see the information below about the a gathering at PRS to pray for the Staff and students for the coming school year.

A friendly reminder that if you and your family are planning to join us for our Family Fun Day at Stanyard Lake, we will be leaving shortly after the morning service this Sunday. We'd love to have you join us for a wonderful day of fun and fellowship!

Weather permitting, we plan to head to the lake as scheduled. If the weather causes us to cancel the event, we will keep everyone updated.

We look forward to seeing you there. God bless!
